A video uploaded by a Phoebe Landolt shows a riot cop assaulting a girl standing on the street. Police had been called in to quell a student riot in Arizona after the Wildcats lost their game to Wisconsin.
The girl in the video did not appear to be rioting or causing a scene, but the officer can be clearly viewed charging her and knocking her over for apparently no reason.
All I saw from your link was the snow plow video........
Just because other place have worse cops doesn’t mean our cops are good.

Of course we know that, just as the video implies, all cops are angelic creatures simply trying their best to serve the people. The cops exercise god-like judgement and all deserve our respect and admiration. Folks viewing videos such as this are simply misunderstanding them.
God bless ALL cops and may they ALL get home safely and escape being caught on video.
This is the same crap that happened at UMass Amherst the week before St. Paddy’s Day. Students were leaving peacefully and the Riot Cops caused the riot.
Watched several times.

When his/her time comes, at the wrong end of a gun barrel or a knife, no tears will be shed.

My German buddy said in Germany the cops can come in your house, tear up your furniture and leave and there is nothing you can do about it if they suspect you are hiding drugs.

Your logic is sound. However, slamming our cops without ANY real in-your-face knowledge of other cops in the world is just hollow, whining and shallow thinking.
Compared to the THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES I lived, worked and traveled in OUR COPS ARE THE BEST.
I KNOW this runs counter to the FReepers who, for the most part, are anti-US cops, but it's so very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very TRUE.
As I say to the cop-hating FReepers, GO LIVE IN A THIRD WORLD country for a month, no, a week, no, a day, NO, an hour and you will CLEARLY see what I mean.
At that point FReepers either ignore me or blast me again with NONSENSE about the U.S. cops...not listening to anything but their own anti-cop screed. Lol. Makes me think that they all had bad experiences with cops. I NEVER did have a bad experience with any cops, here or abroad.
Of course, LONG, LONG, LONG AGO I learned to say the words: "I'm sorry and I was wrong," words which I RARELY see any FReeper write...and NEVER about cops.
Problem is that say out of 100 cops, there are 5-10 ‘bad’ones, you have no way of knowing which cop is bad. Kinda like Russian roulette. Which chamber holds the ‘live’ round. Until they clean up their act, one has to assume all are bad until proven otherwise. After all, they are all highly trained professionals, armed, under color of authority. A lot of cover for a ‘bad’one, dangerous because one has no idea which one is the ‘live round’......
Lately it seems that their primary mission is to serve and protect the corrupt elites.
Then don’t blame the cops for adopting the assume the public is all bad until they clean up THEIR act. This line of thinking on both sides encourages confrontation...
It will get worse. Anytime law enforcement start acting and dressing like the military it always gets worse. Other countries have no constitution and some places it’s guilty until proven innocent.

Although there are 15- 25 cops in the video and one knocks a girl on her ass, between 75 - 100 percent of cops are out of control

FR cop bashing is so predictable that it seems to happen in force and on cue, I find that interesting as the alleged abuse itself

One girl = crowd. There's some solid logic.
They SERVE the public, not the other way around. They have color of authority which you and I don’t. Because of their training they are to be held at a MUCH higher standard of conduct than the public. They are not to encourage confrontation but trained to prevent it.
I asked about where they live/work for a couple of reasons:
1) In most cases I do not think a cop should live and work in the same town.
2) I know cops who do, they try and remain aloof from neighbors incase they may run into them at work.
3) then again, they may just be jerks, as a lot of cops are.
Hard to tell, but seemed like a woman to me too.
Trusting cops is becoming more and more .......
Yes imagine that, the people are getting tired of the militarization and holier than thou attitudes of the people who work for them.
