Three starving children — including one who was chained to the floor to prevent her from getting food — were found last month in the squalid home of a Northern California couple, authorities said.
All three — two boys and a girl — were taken into protective custody, and one was hospitalized, Monterey County Sheriff Scott Miller said Friday.
Authorities discovered them in the Salinas, Calif., home on March 14 after two of the young people missed appointments, according to several published reports.

I’ve got a bad feeling that those in charge of making sure children getting the right parents are negligent in their duties. Let’s face it, in a nation where people in charge of missile warnings can be wasting time checking out Playmates, or stockbrokers can be doing the same thing when they’re supposed to be working, how can you be sure that CPS officials aren’t doing the same thing? Hate to say this, but people in power, knowing they’ll likely get either unconditionally re-elected, or not thrown out by elected officials, will take that as license to be incompetent and lazy.
They were actively trying to ‘convert’ these children through deprivation. There is no other possible answer.
The difference is that in the Daily Mail story you don’t have to go to paragraph 11 to discover that they are “domestic partners”.

This would not have happened if Homosexuality were still classified as a mental disorder.
Homosexuality is not normal. It is a sexual deviancy. Homosexuals should not be allowed to adopt children. Period.
The story was there. The poster missed it. Not a bad thing and it is why multiple postings are ok. But the UK is just repeating the US story. With fewer facts.
