“...get Darlin to help me build some raised beds... Well, I can dream, can’t I? It could happen!”

Be sure to feed/water husband, they make excellent slave labor.

Only 2 germinated and both damped off. I went back to the nursery, but they were all out of the seeds.

I saw ghost pepper plants at the Planthaus in Kerrville, but you're aways from here.

I remember you speaking of her, but I don’t know which it would be. We never ask for any assistance, we pretty well know our way round. My wife buys flowers from the marked down racks, but that is about all we do with the garden dept at Lowes.

Wake up. Wake up..
Here’s something with an irritating bonus (the song);

http://www.cucuzzasquash.com/

In my revised dreams, (no redwood pergolas), I have a series of cattle panel hoop houses, with trellises joining them across the tops, and Cucuzza, and Tromboncino squash are growing like Triffids, There are no insects, or fungal diseases in my dream.

Thanks.

We have a great Italian restaurant here and that song would fit in with the music they play.

It took the service provider MUCH longer than they expected to get service here. There were 'issues'. But it's all good now.

rightly, I quickly counted containers with food plants outside this morning (not counting pots with flowers) and there are 74 if I didn’t miss any which I think I likely did as it wasn’t a totally accurate count. By the time I transplant the plants under the grow lamp into their permanent pots, there will be 100+ containers so you weren’t far off from guessing the number of containers to be 100. I’ll do a better job of counting before I add more containers.

I felt a drop or two of rain but that’s all and it’s not raining but I see tree limbs moving on trees behind my fence so there are wind gusts. According to weather channel we have 60% chance of rain today and humidity they say is 80%.

I’m not happy with the four tomato plants outside in tomato large containers. They are four different types but that last cold hurt them. I’ve a bunch more sprouted under the grow lamp and I know I will replace two outside because those don’t look good at all.

I’m very impressed with the growth and strength of the Deck Corn plants. They are visibly taller every day with thick strong bodies and range from 4-6 inches tall. The onion bulbs green tops are anywhere from 6-8 inches tall and thick and strong.

I’m about to get carrots up in those four grow bags, I can barely see bits of green and not many - a couple more days surely will show green shoots up.

I have to transplant three T squash and two/three tobacco plants and two/three cucumber plants from the small cups to larger pots today as they have outgrown those little cups.

I've got the pumpkin, cantaloupe and regular squash transplanted to the big garden now. I haven't figured out what to do with the trombone squash. I seem to recall that you said they are climbers. Is that correct?

Yikers, it’s 81 outside, and tomrrow it’s supposed to be 87 degrees. Switching from complaining about the cold, to complaining about the heat.

Oh, I went to Fredericksburg today. When I left here it was fifty something...I didn’t open the greenhouse, and I had disconnected the vent opener..Oops, it was 105 in there when I got home, and I’m sure it was hotter than that under the plastic covers over my seedlings out there. I shall reconnect the automatic vent opener...

If you leave T squash to grow the vine on the ground, remember it’s 10-12 ft. long, taking up big amount of space and the squash will form in a circle. If you let it climb and it’s a master of climbing with zillions of tentacles reaching out to attach to something (they are alive!, they are alive!), the squash will grow straight hanging down.

Those many tentacles will reach out into space, hunting something to grab, like other plants or a chair arm, anything they can find and it’s hell to try to get a tentacle off a wrong place. I still say, “they are alive!”.
