Authorities in Tampa have arrested a 31-year-old woman is facing five-years in prison for animal cruelty charges after she allegedly performed a c-section on a dog with a 'steak knife', no anesthesia and then used glue to close the amateur incision.

The Mastiff called Nadia died soon after and now Candace Patricia Hauser is facing a felony charge for removing the last two of the dogs 13 puppies on March 4 even though there was a veterinarian nearby.

Investigators arrested Hauser on March 5 when the dog's owner brought her to Veterinary Healthcare Associates in Winter Haven telling them she believed the animal was dying - when in fact Nadia was already dead....

Going down the valley from just north of here to almost NoVa is one of the few really long drives I actually enjoy, but I haven’t seen those. Further southwest up the valley toward TN, or further north closer to MD than I go? Hate to hear it, such a beautiful old place, the Shenandoah.

“It appears that even more OB-GYNs are “playing it safe” and opting for the C-section”

Their liability insurance is horrendously expensive. It sucks but what choice do they have? If they get sued and lose then they can’t get insurance and cannot practice.

“But you did equate the butchery of this dog to Caesarian section.”

Where did I do that?

Emotions are a dangerous thing. Go eat some crow and apologize and I’ll be nice next time.

I see, if it's written on the Internet...it is the GOSPEL.
DOH yourself!

You know NOTHING of the matter, that's for sure, otherwise you wouldn't be gabbling on so. But, keep it up because you are now amusing.
Thanks for the laugh.

By the way, posting in HUGE font sizes like you did, is puerile.

If people didn’t buy them the mills would go away. I got mine through the ASPCA and he is the best dog I’ve ever had. Incredibly smart.

Start watching for them around Winchester.

Martinsburg seems to be ground zero.

That was the CDC website. You know, the Center for Disease Control. They track all kinds of stats and are generally considered the authority on those kinds of things.

You might have heard of them before.

Not one woman eh. lol Is everyone in your area sterile?

The hospital I work at has a 25% c section rate. My aunt had two sections, as did another aunt. I have tons of friends who have had them and several close friends who were born that way. You must not get out much.

Their liability insurance is horrendously expensive. It sucks but what choice do they have? If they get sued and lose then they can’t get insurance and cannot practice.

Years ago Reader's Digest had an article about that very fact. They told of an OB-GYN in Brunswick, GA who was sued by a patient for whom they had delivered earlier, healthy babies. The plaintiff patient's lawyer had also been one of the OB-GYN doctor's patients.

When the doctor asked the lawyer how she could do such a thing, she replied, "It's nothing personal, just business."

Sure enough, the lawyer became pregnant soon after. None of the OB-GYNs in SE Georgia would treat her. She ended up driving to Savannah for all her pre-natal, delivery & post-natal doctor appointments.

I’ve always read about how good of a nose hounds have. His is beyond incredible. He can find a single pea size treat in a 1/3 of an acre yard. Gets downwind of it and then goes straight to it.

Yup.

My Ibizans are 3-way hounds.

Sight, scent, hearing.

You can’t hide anything from them, anywhere...ever.

At least that would level the playing field.

Well, how NICE for you, working in a hospital. The doctors, nurses and such ARE a very special breed of people, GOOD, dedicated professionals.
I DO get out, but HOSPITALS aren't places I CHOOSE to go to. I avoid them like the plague. It IS where babies are born but they are also places for the sick and dying. They also have a smell (beyond disinfectant) that is unique, not in a particularly nice sense.
NOT my favorite places to visit.

I'm glad your TONS of friends had C sections. Well, really I'm not. Having surgery isn't something to be glad for, C section or not.

I TRULY admire the professionals who work there. Better them than me. Horrible places they are, but necessary. I am extremely thankful that I don't work in one and don't YET have to be in one. Someday...but until then, ixnay.

I do visit my friends/family who have to be there. When I first went there, eons ago, the head nurse took one look at me and thought I was the sick one. The smell and such of it all made me so ill/queasy that the nurse thought I was the patient. She did bring me some water...and I was most grateful. TOO many of my family and friends to visit in my life.

I have seen an orthopedic surgeon for my replaced hips years ago. He is a MARVEL. I call him Dr. Whirlwind. When I visited him I would ask the nurses if Dr. Whirlwind was in yet. They all laughed and KNEW whom I was talking about.
