I am done. This site has broken me. I am as staunch a conservative as you will find. After returning from Iraq, injured and upset, I turned here and found a welcoming community that shared my thoughts. I am a proud Gadsden Flag waiving man of the Tea Party movement. But because I don't think Sarah Palin is as historically important as other GOP women in the past, I am now considered an idiot, a RINO, ass-kisser and whatever negative connotation you can throw my way. This site has changed so much since that dictator want to be became President it sickens me. It's lost its sense of community and has ran off many a good person. Heck even the Tea Party seems to be distorted here.
Sounds wise.
We all take our turn in the bucket. Don't let it get you down. Freepers are the sharpest knives in the drawer when it comes to debate because we chop each other up on here. But through that debate comes the truth.
Stick around. Things are going to get real interesting around here with what is going on in DC. You don't want to miss it.

We are about to enter uncharted territory.
We have been in suspended animation for 5 years. Obama may be controversial, but we never had a black president before, so everyone has treated him with absolute kid gloves.

How could she have stayed governor? At the rate those bogus lawsuits were coming, almost one per week towards the end, she would have been nearly $2 million in debt by the end of her first term. A politically motivated judge even quashed her attempt at a legal defense fund.
All the while, every policy and every bill she promoted was being deliberately deep-sixed by a combine of Dems and corrupt-bastard-club GOP-ers, to keep her from having a single political success to her name. Add the way the media trumpeted every single phoney “scandal” and lawsuit. Palin was getting a (ludicrously false) reputation for corruption and ineffectiveness.
Even when she stepped down, there was a completely bogus story (from the usual PDS bloggers, who made up reams of lies about her) that it was due to an impending federal indictment in regards to some housing materials Todd bought and used in building their house. CNN, NBC, and even FoxNews all reported this (”we hear through the grapevine that an FBI indictment is in the works for Palin, blah, blah, blah”). The FBI even had to come out a few days later and deny the whole story. But none of the news networks bothered to mention this or retract their story.
Anyway, I’m getting off on a tangent. But there was NO WAY for Palin to continue actually governing. Maybe she could have just stayed in office and allowed herself to be a bloodied-up pincushion, her family in crippling debt, and her reputation destroyed. But she sidestepped all that, wrote her book, made herself more solvent, and worked her tail off for the Republicans in the 2010 mid-terms. Only to be stabbed in the back by them once more.
I doubt it. They will just project as always. We could get an albino lib and they’d change the words “You just hate a black president and are racist” To “You just hate an Albino president and hate people with medical conditions”. Same BS.

You are right about that. Any forum that has been around as long as FR is going to have trolls.
I am now feel the brunt of one group that has a hate Alex ping list. The prolific members of the list are vile, childish brats that use nasty expletives.They stalk me so that they can jump on any of my postings.
Their complaint is that I have been an expat, starting from 2000, and full time since 2005. They hate that I have a happy life, while they are there to suffer the Obamination.
I left before I had ever heard of Obama, so my absence is in no way political. My post are taken completely out of context, as they assume that I am trashing America, when it is Obama, his Obots, and Democrats in general who are destroying America. Anyway, the trolls will not run me off. I have been an active member of FR longer then any of them. I no longer read their childish postings to me.
I am as American as anyone on here, with my linage going back pre 1812, Troy, NY, with the most famous name in the country being my great great great uncle.
I am in my senior years and always had a desire to explore other countries. Is that a sin? I look back though and see the pain and suffering that Americans are feeling, but we have no power to stop it, outside of voting, which I can still do from anywhere.
I knew when Obama was reelected that America was in deep trouble, and I am not at all optimistic for the future in my limited remaining years.
Those 'keyboard warriors' do bother people and do run them off. I don't have the answers but this board, among all others, should always be civil and agree to disagree. I find the name-calling and personal attacks by some unacceptable as well but find too much good on FR to leave.

You truly have to have balls to post here, if anything you say questions dogma. Don’t worry about it. Having served the nation as you did, your balls are plenty big.
FWIW, I don’t think Palin will ever run. Wonderful person. Don’t see it happening.
Do you have an issue with calling people what their actions show them to be? If you have no issue calling someone like McCain a RINO, why would you have an issue with someone calling a PDSer a PDSer? Or a lib a lib?
Because NOT calling something what it is helps nothing. If people take an asinine position, they should be called on it. And called what that position shows them to be.

I know you as one of the good guys here, but there are trolls here as everywhere, false patriots, people uninformed or obsessed about idiotic things or personalities or events, like Soros, EU, Nazis (that they don’t know refers to the members of a political party which ceased existing in 1945), tragedies of a single ethnic group, and other misunderstandings (to put it lightly) of history and present that they must have learned on the knee of Walter Cronkite and his like.
