Very large number of school buses are still on the road - Still stuck at the bottom of hills they can't get up, or blocked at intersections because the rest of the traffic can't get through the same plugged intersections. They may stop at other schools and stay overnight.
Only 1-3/4 inches of none-blowing white stuff in Cobb County.
WHERE IS ALGORE
1 3/4 inches? Seriously people, that’s nothing. A dusting of snow and the town shuts down. We have a special name for that much snow up here in Michigan. We call it “late October”.

We are good in north Fulton county.... So far only 3 inches but local and state government were caught flat footed .... No sand or salt trucks... The school districts panicked and called school off late... Then suspended bus service because it was too dangerous to drive.... Thousands of kids are be stuck at school to shelter in place.... Real mess,,,, roads are solid ice
I am in the Florida Panhandle. The temperature has been right at 32 degrees for a couple of hours. Sometimes a bit below and sometimes a bit above but basically 32. Very light rain all day.
I looked out earlier and noticed nearly all bare trees covered with ice. I have lived in cold climates and no matter where you live, tree limbs covered with ice are a real problem.
That’s GOREBULLWARMING.
And the amount of GOREBULL in the air might just in FACT heat things up!
The Galavanting Governor Piyush ‘Bobby’ Jindal, stopped long enough in his travels, to make a decree, that no one needs to be on the roads in Louisiana, today. Stay home, and stay off the roads.
He, then, proceeded to declare a State of Emergency for all of Louisiana.
We return you now to your normal viewing.
It’s not the 1.5 inches of snow that’s the problem. It’s the icy roads, with snow blowing across them.
My neighbor has a huge 4 wheel drive truck, and he nearly didn’t make it home. Took him over 2 hours to drive what’s usually a 20 minute ride.
It’s not “stupid people in Atlanta don’t know how to drive.” It truly is nasty weather to drive in, with the ice laying the foundation for the road problems.
democrats are pure evil
I will always continue to fight for freedom and for smaller, almost nonexistent just constitutional government: I am a Republican
About 3” here in S. Forsyth. Two family members still on roads. 285 and Old Alabama. Previous posters are right. The dusting of snow has ice underneath and this has caught a lot of people by surprise because it’s not part of a “storm system”.
Al Gore should be encased in ice, and sent down that river in Alaska.
Wise moms ahould just keep their kids at home where they are warm and safe.
Jim Santore and the Weather Channel’s Global Warming Network missed this storm by 300 miles. 30% chance of light dusting turned into 2 “ of traffic snarl here in Chattanooga!
And the Global Warming hit the GULF COAST with SNOW, too.
That is ice on her window. I live in wonderful cold, snowy Utah, but I know darned well that ice is a problem even for us snow bunnies.
