There is a little gamesmanship that goes into the building of those shelters.
The women want the men to provide them with a sturdy dry comfortable home, but then after they do get their home the men become expendable to them.
The men thus go for the 3 week home-building plan — dragging it out and building it little by little and keeping themselves necessary.
If you feel like you are only going to last 6 to 10 days then why build a shelter for those who are going to vote you out.
After a few of the women get voted out and the men feel more secure the shelters get shaped up.
But that’s why the shelters look so pitiful this season — a lot of the men are going home early.
I’m suspecting that you are probably right.
There is also a firm Survivor rule against theft of another’s property — though in the past I have seen contestants looking into another’s bag of stuff and finding their idol but not taking it — which is why some rehide their idol rather than keeping it in their bag.
I’m guessing that Garrett could not have willed his idol to Spencer after the vote since it would have had to be done while he was still alive in the game.
Anyway I’m guessing that Garrett wants it for posterity’s sake as he joins that small group of contestants blindsided with an idol in their possession.
Is the Aparri (brawn) tribe going to throw a challenge? Who's the target?
If you want added to or removed from this ping list, please let me know.
Rufus stole the other team’s shoes on his first game.
The target is Tony — the cop
The previews show Sarah leading the charge — probably because he lied to her and there is nothing like a woman scorned.
These things seldom work out well though especially since he has an idol.
I thought Tony and Sarah had an alliance.
A shallow one based upon the lie that Tony told her about Cliff telling Lindsey that they want to vote her out that I suspect Sarah finds out to have been a lie after talking to Who -- Woo.
But Tony has the idol so if he gets a whiff of a blindside he will play it -- and that would mean that someone else there will be going home.
So then they have two challenges this week???
the Octopus challenge and the blindfold challenge.

As of Survivor: Nicaragua, this is a new Survivor ping list. The old list is no longer available, so I would appreciate it if any of you could ping interested parties to this thread. Thank you. :)

Well, it is March madness - no survivor tonight for me. WRAL is showing the game on 5 and 5-1. 5-2 HD is showing the 2nd Sniper Movie.
Sometimes I hate March.
If tonight’s episode didn’t clue the audience in on the low level of intellectual and moral turpitude on our police forces then I don’t know what would.
Based on a blatant fabrication from a lying cop whose expressed philosophy is to do or say anything to anyone to win a million dollars even to the point of dragging someone else’s dreams through the mud, as he put it, another cop who is supposed to be a skilled interrogator able to discern if someone is lying or not, conspires to throw a challenge that will weaken her tribe all in order to take out an innocent man who she perceives to be a threat based on the other cop’s fabrication.
I wonder if the employers and colleagues and communities of these cops are paying attention and filing anything here away???
It may be just a game but those with the darkest criminal side showing thus far are the two cops.
There is more honor amongst thieves than there is amongst these two cops. So much for law and order.
Reward challenge winners: Solana (first place), Aparri (second place)
Immunity challenge winners: Solana (first place), Aparri (second place - several members tried to throw the challenge but were thwarted by the incompetance of Luzon)
Aparri Tribe (brawn - orange buffs): Cliff, Lindsey, Sarah, Tony, Trish, Woo
Luzon Tribe (brains - green buffs): Kass, Spencer, Tasha
Solana Tribe (beauty - purple buffs): Alexis, Jefra, Jeremiah, LJ, Morgan
Immunity Idol status - Aparri: Tony has an idol.
Immunity Idol status - Luzon: No one has a clue or an idol.
Immunity Idol status - Solana: LJ has an idol. Morgan has a clue.

I agree, she was not too bright to start strategizing against Cliff so soon. That will come back to bite her. They hadn’t lost so why strategize? She will also find out they were not plotting against her and her fellow cop lied on his badge to her. They will both be gone pretty soon.
Just so you don’t miss it — this is hilarious:
LJ compares the three chicks in the camp to little baby birds in a nest chirping all day long for food and water ...
He says the three chickens they have in the cage do more work at the camp just laying eggs than the three girls do.
Funny clip. Thanks. :)
I see they’re dropping their buffs next week. I wonder if it’s going to be a merge, or a shuffle into two new tribes of seven players each.
I do so enjoy the follow the leader challenges. Mainly because people not following directions and not giving proper directions. Of course, some of this chaos could be due to editing.
I was distracted during the chicken beheading but it was one of the hens, right? Not real bright eating an egg layer first but then they’re totally clueless about chickens. Reminds me of some Amish show when one of the vegetarian city folk refused to eat aborted chickens (aka eggs), sigh... You’d have thought they’d have learned a wee little bit about chickens knowing there will probably be a chicken reward. Just like it took years for them to figure out they might need to know how to start a fire and swim, yet most still land on the island clueless.
Speak of clueless, the Brains. My, oh my. To think that incometant nuclear engineer is back at work. You just know how she voted the last two times, if she was able to find her way to the polls. Please, tell me she’s only the grounds keeper’s assistant who works down the block from the nuke plant.
I suspect that they will go from three tribes to two and none too soon for Spencer, Morgan, and Cliff — and to the dismay of Tasha and Kass who would have kept J’Tia if they knew this was coming.
To intentionally try to throw a challenge, just to vote out someone who already made their million(s) is the most asinine thing anyone could ever come up with!
Yes, Cliff is probably already well-off, but that doesnt justify voting him out this early.
If anything, you would want to keep him around till the final three and then bring it up that he really doesnt need the money.
Looks like the brains tribe isnt the only tribe full of dummies!
Hey Cuz, great to see you!
Throwing challenges is disgusting. I’m glad it didn’t work out for them. I still remember when Russell Hantz’s tribe did that to him in his last appearance. Truly vile.
