I pulled my first you tube cuz I wasn't crazy about it myself except I liked the beach, the dress and the hair. I'm going to re-record the first half, different outfit for first half and then get to the beach scene. I'm trying to learn how to do my own audio. My friends are real skimpy on do-overs. They're my friends, but would it hurt to give me two takes?
Aren’t you sweet, Ken?! Thanks. But you haven’t heard me sing. My mom actually has (had) a beautiful voice. But I actually DO sing like two cats going over the balcony of the Empire State Building!
Still, I appreciate the 50 votes.
My favorite almost from the getgo has been the one we call Meatloaf. He is the rocker, Caleb. He started out kind of unsure of himself, but able to belt and croon and do the rock thing. Each week, with more and more people liking him and noticing him, this rather plain looking guy has been walking differently, smiling differently, feeling himself grow up and become confident in his craft. That is my #1 favorite thing about American Idol — seeing a raw person with a good voice actually take the notes seriously and improve each week. And he took several risks with song choice and nailed them all.
I think it’s good to do what you do as a singer. It has to be your sound and fit with your persona. Risks, yes, but chameleon- no, you want your fans to have an essence to follow. And I love what Frank Sinatra did: like an actor, he did Method on his lyrics. As he sung them, he believed them. He was that jealous husband or proud man, or whatever.
I do think Jess is focused. I just don’t think she gets it yet, like I said. She’s talented but hasn’t understood how to connect. She sang of all things Pumped Up Kicks with a pageanty smile through it all. She knew it was an edgy song but she sang it like she was happily shooting up a high school. She was in the bottom three after.
Hmmm, I don’t know, can’t tell, if Harry has a favorite. I think all these rich panelists want CJ to win the million or whatever they win. Is it the racism of low expectations? I don’t know. He doesn’t deserve to win, but he should make a good living singing live. He definitely feels his songs and though not always on key, he is passionate and fun to watch.
Until last night, I would have had Dexter in the finale with Meatloaf. I don’t know what happened. Sam needs to be GONE but the ferlies have no one else to stay up late voting for. He’s sixteen. Almost zero talent, decent voice but my cat has better stage presence.
Alex has a distinctive voice but he does have the dead flounder eyes, and permanently looks like he has smelled poop (hopefully just on his shoe).
“But I actually DO sing like two cats going over the balcony of the Empire State Building”
Heck, with that much talent alone, you could be in the top 5!!!!!!!!
The only suspense left this season is if Sam will get the chance to channel Ricky Nelson...
Thanks for the downlow or whatever they call it. I guess the results are next week.
or, the lowdown. pick one. Have a nice weekend.
I can't believe it either, lol. In all of Google, I think there are only 3 pics of him singing, and those look like they were taken at the same time.
No one would know about his brief singing career if the other guys didn't tease him about it unmercifully on FOX NFL Sunday--as they also tease Howie Long about his brief movie career (two movies).
I did some Googling, and some Binging, and could not find an answer. Maybe because he's been keeping his baby away from the spotlight, so there's not a lot of information about him floating around.
LOL!
And I really don’t even want to know how Bradshaw sounded....
I am going to go out on a limb then - his baby has a different mama and his gf is newer. Right?
And I really dont even want to know how Bradshaw sounded....
I wasn't eager to hear him sing either, but I found a video on Youtube--looks like it was from the same photo I posted. He's pretty good! I was expecting some silly twangy sound to come out of him, not this. All that's missing are some Ferlies by the stage swaying their arms back and forth, lol
That’d be my guess
Hey, Ken. Sam’s our local contender. I’ve been watching clips here and there. Not having network tv or cable has changed my viewing habits. I watch cartoons, old movies or spend way too much time on the internet.
Ugh. Well, I will be dead by then, so there is that. ;^)
