I’m sorry to hear that. You need a milder climate right away. Hope it warms up and stays warm for you.
Currently, 65 and cloudy here in east central Florida. However, tomorrow night is forecast to be 28-30 with highs on Tuesday of 43 as a cold front passes through.
Panhandle Texas ....9 degrees on my Davis Weather station here at the house and 11 degrees on weather underground web site.... 15mph wind. Wind chill is allegedly -8 based on data here at the house and NOAA wind chill calculator..

I talked to my step mother/Dad in Springfield this morning. They are in their 90’s.
She is chomping at the bit to get outside, but the driveway is blocked with snow. Thank you Lord!!
I am a Texas resident and have been for most of my life. Is it cold? Yep. But not nearly as cold as other places. I could complain...but I just won’t. :)

I have a great story much like yours.
We moved from MN to here to CO 25 years ago, in part for the warmer weather, and it’s been great.
Right now it’s 0 degrees, 20 degrees warmer than my old home town in MN!
It actually felt comfortable in a jacket as I went out to get more firewood for the fireplace.
It’s all relative!
We have the windows open.

Hovering around freezing right now. It’s supposed to get to 19 tonight and 12 tomorrow night. It’s so cold I had to put shoes on. I ran some more insulation around the front door earlier and turned on the light at the water pump and in the open garage.
About 81 and sunny at Clearwater Beach, FL today.

A balmy 17 degrees F with a wind chill of 5. Supposed to be double-digit negatives tomorrow morning.
The media is just hysterical. I was watching Channel 9 in the Twin Cites. The weather man said it’s -17. With windchill it was -50. But by the old windchill scale it is -89.
This dope had to drag out the OLD (flawed) windchill scale just to make it sound even worse.
Tuesday morning will bottom out at 4 degrees here in Atlanta GA. Right now it’s 49.
I keep Minneapolis on my iPhone’s list of weather cities. Always interesting to see how bad the worst of it is to make a 60 degree day feel decent. I see it’s negative 17 there right now. That’s 80 degrees colder than my locale. Ooooof.
I don’t know how the population there does it.
5 degrees in Mid-Michigan and about a foot of snow.
Here in SoCal...IE to be specific..it is currently 59F at 7:46pm. It is projected to get down to 37F tonight. Brrrrrrr.
