There are also traditional word problems. Twitchy has found a word problem that may be the most egregiously awful math problem the Common Core has produced yet.

15. Juanita wants to give bags of stickers to her friends. She wants to give the same number of stickers to each friend. She's not sure if she needs 4 bags or 6 bags of stickers. How many stickers could she buy so there are no stickers left over?

Juanita has no friends. She dropped a dime on them and ICE came to take them away, and so she gets to keep the stickers all to herself AND the assault rifle that somebody nice from the federal government gave her. And she can hold up her little playmates and take their stickers too. The End.

I meant that ProtectOurFreedom likely intended that X, Y equation as an example of a problem that doesn’t have a specific answer, similar to the word problem at the top of the thread.
