FULL TITLE: 'I felt I was on trial for murdering the Beatles': Yoko says fans wrongly convicted her for 40 years
Yoko Ono has told how being blamed for The Beatles split made her feel like she was on trial for murder.
She said: It feels like I was accused of something that I didnt do, which was breaking up The Beatles. Its like youre accused of murder and youre in prison and you cant get out.
Since the Fab Four broke up in 1970, Miss Ono has been blamed by many fans for their demise because she was in a relationship with John Lennon.
The couple moved to New York a year later so they could work more closely on the burgeoning peace movement. Lennon was shot dead in 1981.
In an interview with a US magazine, Ono reflected on the years since the band broke and added the allegation left her feeling that she wasnt valued by people and that the only way to cope was to take the hatred directed at her and turn it around into love.

Lennon was murdered in 1980, not 1981.

Good gosh. I could really give a rat’s patootie what Yoko Ono thinks about anything.
She really did stretch that 15 minutes out, didn’t she? Made a career out of 15 minutes, now that I think of it.

No she felt like she was on trial because she is really really really really annoying and irritating, not to mention dumb as a rock.

I like Yoko, she’s a nut, a real New Yorker.
Whoever thinks the Beatles wouldn’t have broken up anyway is dreaming.
And, while I’m at it, Ringo is my fave beatle. And ALL his solo stuff is better than any thing “wings” did.
There I said it again, and when I said it the fist time music afficiando hubby had nothing to say to me.

“And Your Bird Can Sing” was a send up of Jagger by John Lennon. It's a great song...one of their very best...but it still remains that Jagger's “bird” *could* sing and she was drop dead gorgeous...unlike you-know-who!

On a related note, I accuse my wife of murdering my carefree bachelor life.
At least she sings better than Yoko.

Hehehehe...the comments at video were priceless!
" Yoko's performance seem to represent the cries of all victims: of war , divorce, and many other miserable circumstances endured, (including her own loss of her soulmate John)... their pains, their triumphs. (-<) :)"
And this one, only one out of a few:
"...Can somebody put her out of her misery? She sounds like a dying whale..."

I don’t know if she broke up the Beatles but her ‘singing’ broke a lot of ear drums.

Yoko, you were because you did.
And history has found you guilty.
If it could sentence you to being stupid and arrogant sentence has been already fulfilled.
