I saw that! He was totally in control. I need to remember what scene that’s from in the comics. Robert Kirkland said that readers of the comics would recognize it, but I don’t remember which comic it’s from!

Carl was cool, calm and collected. LOL

I’ve never read the comics.

When Maggie went looking for Beth because she wasn’t on the bus, there were those few minutes where Maggie was in a shoot out before the bus took off— I’m hoping with Beth and the baby on it. Beth was always looking after the baby!

So sad. I could tell the actor was affected by it, too, on The Talking Dead. I’ll miss the character. It was so nice of them to focus on him a couple of episodes back....

It was an M48A5, or at best an M60A3.

I rode in -60A3’s even on active duty; they were still in the inventory up until 1989. The basic M1’s were only just getting fielded.

The grenade down the pipe was all Hollywood flash-bang. If they had a round in the breech, that’s the ONLY way you would have had that kind of blast. Secondary explosions would have been the rounds cooking off, and I only saw the one boom.

Well, we watched the 11PM showing, and what a bloodbath!

Here’s the body count I saw, add to it if I miss someone:

Megan;
Herschel;
Philip/Brian/The Governor;
The dyke cop’s “life partner”;
Mitch;

I ALMOST thought Darryl got munched, but using the walker as a shield to bum-rush the invaders? Full points for balls, but not credible.

I’m thinking someone pulled Judith out of the car seat just in time, but who, and where is she now?

Kudos to Lizzie for rallying the kids, and Carl for fighting at his dad’s side like a trooper.

So now, we got groups scattered all over:

Rick/Carl, in the woods;
Glenn, the kids and others on the bus;
Maggie, Sasha and the drunk medic who’s been drilled;
I forgot where Tyreese got to;
And don’t forget Lilly and Michonne are out there someplace.

So, I DVRed Talking Dead and they're talking about some of the things I posted. Really, I'm only watching it now, I didn't just re-post Talking Dead conversation! I noticed in their “in memorium” section, Judith is not listed!

First time I've watched Talking Dead. Not bad.

To all you guys talking about the Tank, Talking Dead says it’s a 1971 M60 used in Vietnam that belongs to a private collector. The owner is quoted as saying it would “make hamburger meat out of zombies”.

Yes, that *kind* of blast. But apparently the technique is effective against a open or closed breech.

Which is good to know.

I thought it was a 60. I can spot a tank pretty good. :)

Doesn't make sense to the story line though....

To amend what I wrote: Open breech is vulnerable, closed breech is vulnerable with a round loaded, and a closed breech with no round means you just gave the tank a free shot. :)

I hope they do go beyond the comics, but why should they? The comic is way better than the TV show.

Four years as M-60A1 driver/loader/gunner/commander.

I agree. Although, depending on type of grenade, I would say there was a pretty good chance the inside of the barrel would be damaged enough to make firing 105 rounds a bit dicey. Pitting of the rifling...perhaps a crack.

Rick would essentially be returning home. The preview for the second half of this season was a scene straight out of the comic book, according to Kirkman. Looks like a neighborhood, which is where they ran to after losing the prison. In the comic, that is where Rick started having phone calls.....

The Walking Dead trilogy is great too. Shows how the governor came to power and how he’s not really the guy you think he is. But a caveat to anyone who reads it...it diverges from the TV show. And there is a torture scene in the third book that is one of the most gruesome things I’ve ever read.

If the goal is to take over the prison because it is a secure location does it make sense to use a tank to blow the s*** out of the place and render it uninhabitable? Does it make sense to shoot at the walls instead of the enemy firing at you from behind light cover? A few well placed tank rounds could have almost completely eliminated resistance from the prison.

Why did the gov kill Hershel instead of Michonne since we know he HATES her?
