Anyone who opposes the Affordable Care Act is a subhuman. It is a great law but lying republicans are trying to destroy it. I signed up with no problem on the website. Republicans want to repeal my new insurance. Obama is a hero!

Your illustration shows a truss with enclosed space for storage. Instead, try the ones that are most economical of parts. They use triangles extensively, and exclusively.

Get a whole bunch of them, because you’d be going through them like using up roofing nails.

Stack one on top of the one in the center such that its right diagonal overlays the left diagonal of the center truss.

Then put another one on the right, overlaying its left diagonal on the center truss’ right diagonal.

This is four sides of a hexagon. Or, depending on the slope of the trusses, a gambrel roof sketch.

Now tilt it up, securing the feet on the sidewalls of the foundation. Keep it from falling over, and add a long 2 by ten or twelve on each side, supporting the center truss end-point. Now it will support a snow load.

Put in diagonal bracing to order. Add these composite trusses for the full length of the barn. Then sheathe it, and clad it, and you’ll have a barn that will hold up to most of what Mother Nature has to bestow.

Goodness gracious! That’s just terrible.

Here we have seen collapsed barns with signs out front, “Barn for sale.”

Of course, they’re selling the useable wood and other components, but
the first time we saw such a thing, we were nonplussed.

Our Deere has not started smirking at Bryan just yet. Here’s hoping
that it never does, or not for a long time, at least.

Somehow it doesn't look as bad as they say it will be. Yet.

The OccasionallyAccurateWeather people are saying we will be getting 6-12 inches of snow. The WhetherChunnel is saying 5-8. NOAA in their "Warning;Warning;EvilWeatherWarning" alert is saying 4-8.

And a low temp Friday eve of -8° F (-22° C.)

So much for hoping to save on fueloil use...

until that massive low moves on from off our west coast it looks like you will be stuck with Canadian air conditioning.
We've been promised several more weeks of wind and rain, so don't hold your breath.
