Anyone who opposes the Affordable Care Act is a subhuman. It is a great law but lying republicans are trying to destroy it. I signed up with no problem on the website. Republicans want to repeal my new insurance. Obama is a hero!

We had some snow this morning, a lot of it horizontal. So there are exposed patches of grass on the lawn.
I finally nagged Bryan into buying a John Deere lawn tractor with a mower deck and a snow thrower a
couple of months ago. He loves it as much as you love yours, NoCmpromiz. ;-)
The Sun and the Clouds are out there arguing about who gets to be in the sky, so we may be in for a snow
respite. Most everything is already white, so the winter scene outside, what Bryan calls, “sticks and snow,”
is really quite beautiful.
I supposed I’ll just allow the Sun and Clouds to decide. The Clouds look as if they might be winning...

For us NOAA says one thing, Occasionally AccurateWeather says something else, and the WutherChunnel says yet another..
The weather radar blatantly lies, and frequently. I can be sitting at the computer with the radar showing zero precipitation,
when I can plainly see, through the giant window in front of my eyes, large, fat, white flakes falling out of the dark sky.
And the opposite at times, as well. "It's a blizzard out there!" No, it's actually quite pleasant.

I have NOT been able to find any eggnog, and I’m almost desperate enough to try and make some. But I need some rum for it. And the Rum Bunny won’t be here until Friday...

Good Morning (or afternoon) to you all!!!! For anyone who cares I will post those other photos of the flying squirrels after I shovel snow. I have to remember to look out the window during the night before I take my dog outside. This morning at 12:30am I opened up the front door. Next thing I see is my dog Fredd going for the feeder, then the squirrel jumped of and got away.
My usual quite town is full of people riding snowmobiles. It is amazing to watch where they go. We have a creek in the front of the house. They love to drive over that and jump high in the air. We have a ridge on the other side of the airstrip in front of our place. It is wild to see them drive up that through the trees. For many here it may not be a amazing thing to watch, but coming from California it is still cool for me to watch.

I ordered a $5 thing from Wal-Mart’s website a while back and had it sent to the local store (free shipping). I thought they’d load it onto a Wal-Mart truck somewhere down the line or something.
No, they UPS’d a $5 item to the local store and I should be able to pick it up tonight or tomorrow since it is already in the nearest big city today.
Can someone explain how in the world they make money this way?

...Can someone explain how in the world they make money this way? They only hire part-time employees. Part-time means less benefits and minimum wage. Trust me...they make money hand over fist.

But they don’t pay their employees anything but minimum wages, so there is bound to be profit. There are a lot of ways that a company can cut costs and end up astoundingly rich.
