Neighbor's chicken escaped. I caught it. Now what?
When I first went to work at my last hospital job, we had a feral ‘parking lot hen’. She lived in the shrubbery, and huned bugs in the landscaping. Her official name was Penny Cillin. After few years, she simply vanished.
Or possum; I've had that experience with both.
Possums chewed through a double layer of poultry netting, and killed several chickens and ducks, so mamma could show her younguns how it's done. I caught them in the act, and also showed them how it's done.

Wow, sounds like the aftermath of a fowl tsunami......
If you like your chicken you can keep it.
If you fed it uncooked rice, you may well be eating it for dinner tomorrow when the rice absorbs all the water in the chicken and sets up.. :)
I remember when I was around 8yo or so.. went to my father’s friend’s ranch..
I was placed in an over-sized stock-pen(about 1/2 an acre) with a rooster, that I would swear was taller than me, he was about 50 feet away when I was placed in there.. he came running at me so fast I don’t ever even remember touching the fence or posts.. I think I cleared (jumped) it head first.. haha ;^)
I have respected (and given lots of room) to roosters since then.
I've had pet chickens. They make good friends.
if the rice was already cooked, it shouldn’t be a problem ;^)
This sounds like a major shift in the alien cattle mutilation phenomenon. They are done with livestock and are moving on to intelligent subjects.
OR, given the number 13 (there are no coincidences in life), this is a powerful Santeria ritual aimed at overturning Obamacare.
Were the dead chickens decapitated...or choked (yes, it matters).;-)
Ouch :/
Hopefully they will update/upgrade their fencing and also include a ceiling (chickenwire).
Wow.. didn’t know opossums went after chickens O.O ... learned something new..
I can imagine this, Bikkuri. They can sure do some damage. Mine’s spurs seemed like they were about 3 inches long. (I doubt this, in hindsight) One of them got my grandmother once when she was hanging out clothes.
I was about that age when I got my 2. One of them lived until I was a freshman & the other until I was a sophomore. I’d love to have a few chickens. (I don’t think I could ever eat my own, though)
I’m impressed to references to Chicken Dinner road on the first page. No one ever told me it was world famous.
For anybody that is curious, this is the legend of how the road got the name. http://www.ktvb.com/news/local/64289942.html
Useful for responding to Leftists.
Yep, you have to take Hwy 55 to Nampa to see the intersection there.
Must be one of Kramer’s Kramerica chickens!
If only he had an intern to keep the chicken wire in repair.

Take it to a Cock Fight behind the Bodega?
