Oh, how beautiful, Jaidyn! Thank you.
That’s too cold indeed..We are 15 degrees below our normal temps..
So thankful for your good reports, Dave..I wish you and yours a blessed Thanksgiving.
Read: 1 Corinthians 13:1-8
A few years ago, my friends mother was diagnosed with Alzheimers disease. Since then, Beth has been forced to make tough decisions about her moms care, and her heart has often been broken as she watched her vibrant and fun-loving mom slowly slipping away. In the process, my friend has learned that real love is not always easy or convenient.
After her mom was hospitalized for a couple of days last year, Beth wrote these words to some of her friends: As backwards as it may seem, Im very thankful for the journey I am on with my mom. Behind the memory loss, confusion, and utter helplessness is a beautiful person who loves life and is at complete peace. I am learning so much about what real love is, and even though I probably wouldnt have asked for this journey and the tears and heartache that go with it, I wouldnt trade it for anything.
The Bible reminds us that love is patient and kind. It is not self-seeking or easily angered. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things (1 Cor. 13:4-7).
Real love originated with our Father, who gave us the gift of His Son. As we seek to show His love to others, we can follow the example of Christ, who laid down His life for us (1 John 3:16-18).
Good morning, everyone. I almost forgot that today is Tuesday, the day I open the doors and put on the coffee at Amy's Place! This is going to be a busy cleaning day, followed by a busy baking day tomorrow in preparation for my son and daughter-in-law's arrival tomorrow night. My son has been in Angola for six weeks and is anxious to head out today on his thirty hour trek home for the holidays. (Fingers crossed that his connecting flight from Houston to San Francisco is there waiting when he arrives!)
I am wishing everyone a Thanksgiving of peace, abundance, and gratitude surrounded by the warmth of family and friends. God's blessings on each and every one. And safe travels to all!
Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving, mama_Bear!

Now, I need to get moving and get this house cleaned. I hate when I have to do a months worth of cleaning in two days. You'd think I would learn not to get so far behind......but, no, I never do. LOL
I hope you and your family has a wonderful Thanksgiving day. :-)
I know it’s tough when your family is far away, so we need to create our families wherever we happen to be. I’d like to think we are all one big family at Thanksgiving. :-)
We had to delay last year because my SIL was ill with strep throat..Thanksgiving dinner was here on Saturday..
It works any day it can happen!
Thank you, Lori..I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving, too.
(They won’t notice what cleaning you haven’t done..They will come to see you!)
OOPS That was Christmas dinner that was delayed last year.
I was at my daughter’s with my family last Thanksgiving..
And a wonderful Thanksgiving to you and Lyn-Dah! :)
Big Thanksgiving Hugs to your ALL! :-)
