I'm thankful for beautiful fall days before it really turns cold tomorrow! Then I'll be thankful for a warm furnace! :)

I am grateful that I have a lovely, meaningful job teaching kids music, even if it doesn’t pay much and sometimes drives me mental! LOL!

A warm house is a blessing..The winds will chill my bones outside!
I just looked at the extended forecast and was surprised to see no freeze on the cold days ahead..I had already put the cover on the faucet on the patio.
My water hose is a pain to undo and put back on..I need one of those “click on” hoses.

Doing anything with kids involved can drive ya nuts, but when you hear them on stage at their recitals, I’ll bet you are bustin’ your buttons in pride for their accomplishments! :)
I’ll bet you’re a great teacher!

Maybe if you hint a bit, your kids will indulge you and get the hose you need to pacify your poor back. :)

Great idea..They are always desperate for something to give me..I told them I don’t want anything that can’t be used up!
I have enough “things”..but a new garden hose I do need.
Just going shopping for me is a big gift.

Overshadowed
November 22, 2013
The assassination of US President John F. Kennedy stunned people around the globe 50 years ago today. The day after the shooting, an article in The Times (London) spoke of the reverberations being felt throughout world financial markets. It carried the headline, All Other Events Overshadowed by US Tragedy.
There are times in our lives when a death, a tragedy, or a sudden turn of events eclipses everything else. It happened to an unmarried young woman who was told that she would become the mother of the promised Messiah, Gods Son (Luke 1:26-33). When she asked how this could happen, the angel Gabriel said, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you (v.35).
The impossibility in Marys life was overshadowed not by darkness but by the brightness of Gods glory and power. Her response continues to leave us in awe: Let it be to me according to your word (v.38).
In the coming weeks, as we read again the Christmas story and consider the birth of Jesus into our world, its worth pondering the word overshadowed. It speaks so powerfully of the Lords presence in our hearts and His ability to outshine the darkest moments.
Im overshadowed by His mighty love,
Love eternal, changeless, pure,
Overshadowed by His mighty love,
Rest is mine, serene, secure. Ironside
In every situation, we are overshadowed by Gods mighty love and power.

Graphic by Billie
"What is Red?"
Red is a sunset
Blazing and bright.
Red is feeling brave
With all your might.
Red is a sunburn
A spot on your nose.
Sometimes red, is a red red rose.
Red squiggles out when you cut your hand.
Red is a brick
And the sounds of a band.
Red is hotness
You get inside
When youre embarrassed
And want to hide.
Fire-cracker, fire-engine
Fire-flicker red
And when youre angry
Red runs through your head.
Red is an Indian
A Valentine heart,
The trimmings on
A circus cart.
Red is a lipstick
Red is a shout
Red is a signal
That says, Watch out!
Red is a great big
Rubber ball.
Red is the giant-est
Colour of all.
Red is a show-off,
No doubt about it
But can you imagine
Living without it?
Author: unknown
PS: And RED is the color we wear on Fridays
to show our troops that we support them.

Your posting got me to thinking about “the road not taken”.
“The Road less traveled” Scott Peck; and
“The Road Not taken” by Robert Frost.
Seldom do we give any attention to our choices, and there is no way to know what would have happened ...
God knows.
What I know is when I was younger I was mostly interested in what I wanted in the moment. The brashness of youth.
Forgive me Father, I know not what I do. Have mercy and may Thy love and grace surround me daily in Jesus name amen. Praise the LORD!
