That’s Gorgeous! :-)
I have only seen a bluebird once.
Thank you!
My Pleasure!
LOL
So cute!
So cute .... does Lindah have an outfit like this?
Praying for you.
I have many treasures that I count, Meg.
It is good to sit back and count those treasures once in awhile.
Your weekend sounds perfect! Placerville is always a fun place to visit. I don’t think I have ever been to Apple Hill.
Whether it was Concord or Walnut Creek, I wish I had been there.
I’ve never seen a bluebird .... We have mean Blue Jays.
We ate lunch at a place called “Sweetie Pies” in Placerville, then walked through several shops in the old downtown section. Sweetie Pies is a place I highly recommend. Everything was so yummy there.
Apple Hill is near Placerville and is an area full of apple orchards just off of highway 50, going towards Lake Tahoe. During harvest season, between October and Thanksgiving there are lots of craft shows up at the orchards and Rainbow Orchard makes the best apple cider donuts and sells ice cold pressed apple cider, along with several varieties of apples. We were up there towards the end of the season, so the crowds weren’t too bad, but my cousin said a few weeks ago, on the weekends it bumper to bumper traffic going from one orchard to another and the line for the cider donuts was endless. If you are ever near Placerville in October, early November, you have to go up to the orchards. High Hill Orchard had many craft booths set up. I could have spent all day there and still not seen everything. There are maps at the orchards that show where they are all located, or you can google them on line.
Lynn-Dah is a Nudist. She will not wear clothing of any kind!
Oh that sounds like a wonderful vacation.
I wonder if I could persuade my family to go there next Thanksgiving?
Good Evening/Good Morning!
Spent the day moving things away from the house. We are having our house painted (exterior) over the next few days. Had to remove stuff from the back and front porch areas. Areas needed cleaning and I attacked those areas with my drill and hose.
We have a Modesto Ash tree in our front yard along with our neighbor’s trees. No sooner than we clean up all the leaves and the leaves continue to fall. This goes on for 2 months every Fall.
Mrsdd and I will be traveling to Livermore (CA) veterans clinic tomorrow for a hearing test and adjustment for my hearing aids. My hearing appears to be getting worse. It’s difficult to understand conversation unless I am able to read lips as they speak.
Our oldest grandson got his letterman’s jacket this week. He is a senior this year and he is on the soccer team, wrestling team, and baseball team. He also has earned a letter in academics over the past 3 + years. He also has been accepted at near-by college. He applied for West Point but has decided to attend a Christian college in Arizona. A lot of his fellow students attend this college.
Our younger grandson is in elementary school and he is a straight A Student. He’s not participating in any athletic programs, but education seems to be his priority.
If I am not able to join y’all over the weekend I pray that y’all have a GREAT weekend with Our LORD.
Read: Matthew 8:23-34
Falling asleep was a challenging event during my childhood. No sooner had my parents turned out the lights than the crumpled clothes I had thrown on the chair would take on the form of a fiery dragon and the thoughts of something living under my bed put me into a panic that made sleep impossible.
Ive come to realize that the immobilizing power of fear is not just a childhood experience. Fear keeps us from forgiving, taking a stand at the office, giving our resources to Gods kingdom, or saying no when all our friends are saying yes. Left to ourselves, we are up against a lot of fiery dragons in our lives.
In the story of the disciples in the storm-tossed boat, Im struck by the fact that the only one who was not afraid was Jesus. He was not afraid of the storm, nor was He afraid of a crazy man in a graveyard or of the legion of demons that possessed him (Matt. 8:23-34).
In the face of fear, we need to hear Jesus ask, Why are you fearful? (v.26) and be reminded that He will never leave us nor forsake us (Heb. 13:5-6). There is nothing that He cant overcome and therefore nothing for Him to fear. So, next time youre haunted by your fears, remember that you can rely on Jesus, our fearless Champion!
Hi Diver Dave!
