“What Papa John’s Doesn’t Want You To Know About Their Food”
The secret is already out: Their food (?) sucks.
Papa John’s “pizza” isn’t pizza. Take it from an old Brooklynite. Where pizza is king.
Do I have to click on the link to see the rest and how things turn out (even though I am pretty sure I know) or can you summarize for us?
” Printed on every Papa John’s pizza box is a little story: “When I founded Papa John’s in 1984, my mission was to build a better pizza,” says “Papa” John Schnatter”
Earth to John: You failed.
This is why we rarely eat out. Homemade is so much tastier, healthier, and cheaper.
Apparently this author is a big lib. She makes appearances on “Democracy Now!” and is a NY Times reporter.
Tune in next week, when this writer bitches about not being able to find a pizza for cheaper than $25.
I’m not a fan, but if their food was so bad why is the company so successful? If you don’t like Papa Johns there are plenty of competitors.
The article is a “consumers are (simpleton) victims of corporate greed” rant. Maybe what we need is a “single-payer” government run one-size-fits-all pizza chain to protect consumers.
Geesh.....
Food can be any two of these things.
With just a little effort one can make a basic good quality white bread dough. The recipe is easy. Spread it or roll it flat, use some decent red sauce, some real mozzarella, fresh mushrooms and garlic. Let it rise while the oven is reaching 450 degrees. Bake (on a pizza stone covered with a dusting of corn meal if you have one) for ten or fifteen minutes or until the obttom begins to brown and you have decent pizza.
Spend more time learning he to make dough, how to make your wn sauce, choose or make mozzarella and you can have great pizza.
I’m not thrilled with Papa John’s pizza, but it isn’t the worst fast food pizza out there.
I’m wondering if he is coming under attack because he denounced Obamacare and he hosted a Republican fundraiser during the 2012 election?
I respectfully wish that you had excerpted the answer and not the intro
Well, my family and I like Papa John’s pizza. I guess “different stokes for different folks”. Let’s let free enterprise, competition and the market determine how this and other pizza companies fare.
My favorite pizza is The Works from Papa John’s. Love it.
This article isn’t about pizza in the same sense that the Affordable Care Act wasn’t about supplying affordable care. It was a hit piece on a conservative business which has dared to throw in with conservative causes. (BTW: The ACA was about the Federal government getting direct control of 17% of the economy.)
Papa John came out hard against Obamacare. Now the payback.
Gee, what a shocker....NOT
DAMN! I was just about to pop a pizza into the oven!
grumph!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This ‘article’, blog really, is 100% pure liberal propaganda. She doesn’t even say a single fact about Papa Johns ingredients. She just talks about her inability to get information she demands. I’d tell her to piss off, too.
I think if the pizza was named Papa Ted Cruz’, the commie media would review it about this same way. A hit piece thinly disguised as consumer advocacy.
