WE ARE BEING PLAYED
vanity rant | September 29, 2013 | Lancey Howard

Posted on 09/29/2013 12:57:58 PM PDT by Lancey Howard

The Republicans are colluding with the Democrats to “delay” Obamacare until January 2015 and thereby give the Obama regime a chance to smooth out the wrinkles so it “works right”. The delay will also keep the issue from hurting the rats too much during the coming year's 2014 mid-term election campaign.

Do some people actually believe that a "delay" is in any way a "win" for Republicans?

In return for giving the rats another year-plus to deepen the roots of their communist healthcare and get it working smoother, the Republicans will cave on the debt ceiling. What a deal.

Wow, are we ever being played.

Better to fight the bad things than to suffer them passively and convince yourself that they will lead to a better result as people wake up.

All that seems to do is produce democrat heroes. In a sense its exactly what I predicted would happen with Detroit. Rather than taking the initiative and seizing the opportunity to come up with free market and private sector solutions, conservatives chose to sit around and snipe from the sidelines. Lo and behold, here comes Obama trotting in on a white horse dragging hundreds of millions of our taxpayer dollars.

Reagan really nailed it with his nomination acceptance speech in 1980.

The major issue in this campaign is the direct political, personal, and moral responsibility of Democratic Party leadership - in the White House and in the Congress - for this unprecedented calamity which has befallen us. They tell us they've done the most that humanly could be done. They say that the United States has had its day in the sun, that our nation has passed its zenith. They expect you to tell your children that the American people no longer have the will to cope with their problems; that the future will be one of sacrifice and few opportunities.

My fellow citizens, I utterly reject that view. The American people, the most generous on earth, who created the highest standard of living, are not going to accept the notion that we can only make a better world for others by moving backward ourselves. And those who believe we can have no business leading this nation.

I will not stand by and watch this great country destroy itself under mediocre leadership that drifts from one crisis to the next, eroding our national will and purpose. We have come together here because the American people deserve better from those to whom they entrust our nation's highest offices, and we stand united in our resolve to do something about it.

We need a rebirth of the American tradition of leadership at every level of government and in private life as well.

America will continue to bleed jobs. This, too, will be blamed on the pubes. The entrenched republicans will not play hardball, notwithstanding Cruz and a few others.

Implementation has been going on since the day ACA was signed into law.

Also, the plan depends on individuals paying in for a couple of years before they qualify to receive benefits. This provides a part of the financial base for Obamacare. That is, it makes Obamacare’s number look better than they actually are.

And it explains why Obama can delay business involvement, but balk at delaying the individual mandates.

Most definitely, individuals are GETTING PLAYED.

Medicaid, Social Security, Medicare, Welfare?

Well, disability and food stamps are being rolled back. Besides being highly unpopular Obamacare is also totally different in structure from earned entitlements you pay for like payroll taxes for Medicare and Social Security. So yes I do believe it could be at least partially dismantled.

The end game is single payer. When Obamacare fails we’ll be rushed into single payer to “save” the economy.

It isn’t in force yet as it hasn’t been funded.

Agree, only way some of these voters will “get it” is when it hurts their pocketbook!

Oh bunk. They've been "rolling it back" for years and yet more people than ever are on it.

Social welfare programs are never repealed! When it fails, and it will, we will be rushed into their end game, single payer, to save the economy. It's been the plan all along.

Democrats were the first to suggest a year's delay two or three months ago IIRC.

Of the whole law, or just the individual mandate? Donk Senators Joe Manchin, WV, and Kay Hagan, NC, have come out in favor of delaying the mandate.

Delaying the individual mandate would improve the law from the standpoint of the low-information pukes who vote, while making it more likely to collapse ultimately, due to adverse selection. Of course, when it collapses, the 'Rats will offer up Single Payer as the solution. That's been the plan all along.

Yes! And to stand by and hope that things will get worse because it will wake people up is contrary to Reagan’s great speech that you quoted above.

It is unfunded. Implementation has not taken place. Yet. It isn’t even up and running and it’s causing a disaster. Allowing it to implement in ANY way is what they want. It will fail and we’ll be rushed into single payer to “save the economy”.

AFAIK just the individual mandate. Is that any different than what the House bill proposes to delay? The "whole law" has been in effect for four years now and it has been funded so far and the infrastructure of the unionized bureaucracy has been under construction for four years.

The administration has been busily building the infrastructure of the unionized bureaucracy for four years. How have they done that without funding?

The question to be asked is: “If it is in the Nation’s best interest to shut down the Government, then why are there only TWO Federal Politicians, Obama and Reid, loudly advocating shutting down the US Federal Government?

Obama has MANY reasons to shutdown the Federal Government such as:

1.) A headline grabbing story that will distract attention from the Impeachable scandals of:

Benghazi Massacre Dereliction of Duty by Obama as CIC;
Obamacare Insurance managed by the corrupt IRS;
IRS harassment of political opponents of Obama;
Use of the NSA by Obama to spy on everybody in the USA;
etc, etc.

2.) The use of fear of a shutdown might help to protect defunding and eventual abolishment of Obama’s narrowly focucused ideological agenda of an European-style, failure-prone, Marxist, monopoly of the US Medical Insurance Industry.

3.) Spreading fear and blame might also preserve Obama’s power to increase Obamacare Insurance premiums on an annual basis.

*This would be highly advantageous to Obama as the increase in mandatory insurance premiums would not be a tax, as the “unexpected market conditions” would be given as the reason for the increase.

*Also there would be no need to ask for the “Advice and Consent” of Congress, as the IRS would be in complete control of all income and medical records.

4.) The last reason is the most important for Obama, personally: America would at last no longer be a Nation where the Liberty to choose ones own family destiny could ever exist again.

As for Reid, the best guess I have is that he wants a Government Monopoly of the Medical Insurance Industry. Well, to be fair, Reid calls for a “single payer” system.

My guess is that multi-millionaire Reid, nearing Federal retirement, owns a lot of stock in some companies that are tied to a “single payer” system.

Maybe the NSA, or the IRS can find out for us?

I’m going to as my US Senator from TEXAS, The Esteemed Senator John “To Hell with my voters” Cornyn to check on this for me - - - .

Wow, are we ever being played.

Do you really believe that a 1 year delay in Obamacare after the exchanges are hours from opening and Obama's little pretties have taken flight to spread the word is even remotely possible from either Harry Reid or Barack Obama? I don't.

Obama doesn't care about making Obamacare better the Democrats don't care about making Obamacare better they want it to fail so Hillary has something to run on.
