WE ARE BEING PLAYED
vanity rant | September 29, 2013 | Lancey Howard

Posted on 09/29/2013 12:57:58 PM PDT by Lancey Howard

The Republicans are colluding with the Democrats to “delay” Obamacare until January 2015 and thereby give the Obama regime a chance to smooth out the wrinkles so it “works right”. The delay will also keep the issue from hurting the rats too much during the coming year's 2014 mid-term election campaign.

Do some people actually believe that a "delay" is in any way a "win" for Republicans?

In return for giving the rats another year-plus to deepen the roots of their communist healthcare and get it working smoother, the Republicans will cave on the debt ceiling. What a deal.

Wow, are we ever being played.

Please, Lancey, tell us the magic strategy that would repeal Obamacare.

I wrote it down on the back of your white flag. Check there.

I don't believe for a min that this whole fiasco isn't planned like a movie script.
Reid will come out roses because the Repubs will cave, and the one year extension is
smoke and mirrors. The Repubs want Obamacare and are playing along with Reid and Obama
to hoodwink the Conservatives.

Even the Fox News Players are against Cruz.

How many posts have I made on this thread saying that delaying it is for the benefit of Dems and 0bamaCare?

And then said: I am saying that that’s a drop in the bucket compared to what’s coming between now and next April 15th if it’s not delayed.

So what DO you mean? Care to clarify?

I'm sorry if that was confusing. In the context of our conversation I was answering your point of how many were feeling the effects now not making a statement on what I wished would happen.

And I asked you to find a link pertaining to that as I found nothing. Zip. Zilch. Nada.

I didn't think it was necessary to establish the existence of gravity either.

I consider what Cruz did on the Senate floor a success. He gave voice to those leadership ignored. He brought the issue to the national stage making it impossible to ignore.

Cruz and a handful of others are heroes in this battle.

I have to tell you that I was on the phone with son number 1 about his tests for MS so my attention was divided to say the least. You have my apology as our conversation deserved my attention.

And I do hope that you read the article that I linked. It was excellent.

Indeed. The Congress person who whips the R’s into disallowing congress-critters from insider trading will be my hero. I don’t see it happening soon.

It’s not the paycheck they hunker after, it’s the inside information that makes them millions.

BOTH sides of the aisle.

arguably even less-so than the Democratic Party: the Democratic Party at least strives for its goals and doesn't hold its base in utter contempt.

Sorry, but this part of what you wrote is bullshit. They hold everyone in contempt, including their own.
I'm sure people who wanted hillary for president would tell you to your face. No one gives a shit about them.

Don't even try to use this to pretty up the jackass party.
It just won't fly

I'm not prettying up either party; I am, however, pointing out that there is an argument where the Republican party is worse. the Democratic party is somewhat honest in it's aims and goals, but the Republican Party is utterly dishonest. the Democratic Party says that some are non-people (the unborn) and thus see no real break in having "super-people" (pigs that are more equal) because, after all the born are superior to the unborn in their worldview. The Republican Party, on the other hand, will trumpet things like Justice and the Law applying to everyone… until the rubber meets the road and there is some power/influence that it would lose by pursuing Justice. (See Benghazi, Fast and Furious, the NSA, the IRS, abortion**, tax-reform, balancing the budget, financial accountability, gun control*, and limited government — what does the GOP DO on these issues besides talk?)

No, I'm not saying that the Democratic party is in any way good; but neither am I saying the Republican party is good either — what I am getting at is that there's this elevation of "our guy" [the Republican Party] as being good that's simply not the case (even when there are real arguments that "our guy" is worse).

Take a look at McCain [or Romney], as "the face of the Republican Party" — look at how they pandered to people pretending they weren't Democrats (their records and stances are pretty indistinguishable from Democrats)... and they were the ones anointed by the party. So, let me ask: what good is a Republican vote if the Republican in question is functionally indistinguishable from a Democrat? (If they are functionally indistinguishable, then every argument against Democrats [ideology-wise] applies to them as well.)

* - Gun control is an interesting case: people can point to the recent waves of defeats but when was the last time anyone really talked about cutting out the underlying laws, repealing the NFA and/or GCA? An excellent example of the Republican party claiming victory which was meaningless is the ending of the Assault Weapons Ban [Clinton era] and the reason is this: the AWB had a sunset-clause which automatically terminated the law, they had to literally do nothing to end the AWB.
** - The only real advance in the abortion front was the Partial Birth Abortion ban; I will concede that it was a victory… I will, however, ask if it was an effective victory, a significant victory. (Was it more of a feel-good legislation piece, or did it have a positive impact on the problem?)

Not news, needs to be placed in Chat.

Apparently it is news to the Quisling GOPe, Boehner supporters on these threads.

IMHO, a more substantial risk lies in Obama and Clinton maneuvering to overthrow the US government.

Ever since Clinton left the Presidency, the last month of his Presidency, he focused quiet envoys into Mexico. Immediately prior to this, he and Hillary were jaunting about Vietnam wearing communist garb. These were times where the thinking of a leader is generally focused on posterity and/or his future legacy with the world.

Obama came to power when it just as easily could have been Hillary, neither of which are very competent politicians, but they are well practiced liars and of the most heinous type of personality. Obama, if simply a comparative politic within the Democratic Socialist club, would if anything, separate the Clintons from power, as they already had held a 2-term Presidency.

Instead, it appears Obama and the Clintons are working the same agenda, with a 15-30 year track record.

If they sincerely believe the US financial markets have been milked for what they are worth, they might simply be leveraging the foreign powers to sell out our remaining real assets,..namely our land and people.

IMHO, they pose a greater risk of fomenting a fifth column and inviting mayhem within to promote foreign seizure at will.

I remember reading an article by someone back in 2010...just after this monstrosity got passed - who explained how to defund 0NOTCare. His points were that we controlled the purse - something about reconciliation and how many agencies would be required to even get this monster up and running.

I'm going to search for that article.

Obama & Reid give in -— big tactical win but not a strategic win until killed.

That’s why the GOPe is so hostile to the TEA Party and why Rove did everything he could to undercut conservative candidates even if his chosen one lost the primary.

Rove has become poison for the GOP and most of the party drinks deeply.
