Never watched it, likely never will.

Seems a lot of people do watch it for whatever reason.

It couldn’t have been done with anyone other than Cranston. They took a lovable bumbling dad figure from Malcom in the Middle and turned him into a hateworthy murdering animal.

He shows occasional flashes of humanity but its just not enough. He’s goin down and I don’t think God will be cutting him any breaks.

I read the first half of this article, and basically it said nothing. So I didn’t bother to read the second half.

I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed:
And on the pedestal these words appear:
“My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!”
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

Classical Greek tragedy.

Those who never watched - you don’t know what you’re missing. TV at it’s best.

Yes, but is it diversified? Are there Negro, Chinaman, lesbian and gayish characters in it? Disabled-Americans are a must!

We all need an occasional escape from the real world madness surrounding us every day. This excellently written and acted series has been mine. I’ll miss it when it’s over.

And Cranston IS Walter White!!!

Sick of seeing men who are old enough to know better sporting bizarre facial hair.

Now I read the Forbes article.

I see the connection to the Godfather.

Michael Corleone wanted to save his family. But by doing so, he destroyed it.

Walter White want to save his family. He starts cooking meth so he can leave his family with something when he’s gone. In doing so, he destroys them.

Powerful stuff, man.

Great show. Terrific acting, writing, production, character development. I might rate The Walking Dead slightly higher in the last category. Both are excellent.

Probably a lot of FReepers won’t agree, but Sons of Anarchy also features outstanding acting and writing IMO.

It’s television. Nothing real-life about it. A bunch of writers, actors, and crew. What do you have such an affinity for pop-culture? Sheeple? We make fun of sheeple. Sheeple are stupid and run around by hollywierd. You keep posting this crap about a TV show as though it is real-life.

Phenomenal show. I’m surprised, though, the author totally ignored “The Shield” which I think still remains the greatest series ever made. And “Sons of Anarchy” is pretty close.

Best show ever. Better than the Sopranos. Better than Millenium. Better than The Shield. Better than Dexter.

I can't believe there's any debate about that phone call though. Clearly, Walt was speaking for the benefit of the police that he knew were there. He saw his son call the police right before he kidnapped his daughter!

He said everything he needed to distance Skyler ("I forced you... I told you I would kill you and hurt your family... you don't know anything about what I really do... I built this empire by myself!")

Skyler was crying, because he was saying goodbye to her, and Junior, and the rest of his life. He was even saying goodbye to Walter White.

Look out Todd! Look out Uncle Nazi! Look out Lydia! It's all Heisenberg from here on out.
