Without a doubt, 2013 is shaping up to be a banner year at the box office so far. Led by Disney's Marvel-inspired Iron Man 3, which brought in $1.21 billion in gross ticket sales worldwide, audiences around the globe have spent a whopping $7.81 billion at the movies year-to-date.
In fact, this summer, consumers have set a new record by spending an incredible $4.76 billion at the box office, which bought them an estimated 583 million tickets. For those of you keeping track, that's also the highest number of tickets sold since the summer of 2007.
But that certainly doesn't mean the film industry is ready to roll the credits on 2013 just yet. So hold onto your hats, moviegoers, because it's time to take a look at five of the biggest movies coming out this fall.

To quote a (funny) leftie actor (Robin Williams) voicing a deranged animated character (the Bat) in a lefty eco-indoctination movie, "Fern Gully", just after he flies into a very large tree, knocking himself silly:
"Gravity Works!"

Have you ever noticed that every years there is an award for “Best Picture” — even when all the movies are lousy?

“I thought the Hobbit was unwatchable, just my opinion.”
Well you have to set your sights lower to see the Hobbit.
(cuz hobbits are shorter)

I saw
Man of Steel this summer -- which was pretty good but forgettable. Also saw
Republicans in Space or whatever the one with Matt Damon was called. It was forgettable too. I felt embarrassed for the director, who had previously created the quite interesting
District 9.
It's pretty amazing to think that Hollywood was once capable of producing such works as 2001: A Space Odyssey, Apocalypse Now, the Star Wars series, even the Indiana Jones series, etc. Plus all the superior art of the '50s and '60s.
Modern Hollywood is an embarrassment just like our foreign policy under the Boy King is an embarrassment.

Can’t hear “Oblivion” without thinking of Macy Gray.

There's nothing our movie industry friends would like more than to institute a retro-active "Pay your fair share" windfall profits tax. Go for it Bamby!
