Miss Kansas Theresa Vail wants to break the stereotype that women with visible tattoos don't compete in pageants, so she showed off two of her own tattoos during the swimsuit portion of the Miss America competition on Tuesday (Sept. 10).

Good GOD Almighty, I will never in my life understand the appeal of those things, especially on women. Frankly, I think they look like horsecrap, but then again I guess I’m older than dirt.
Keep your finger crossed that things will turn around for the younger generation. I know I have 2 kids who are right thinking and conservative.
And if she wins she can stand on the stage and say she also has a girlfiend who she plans on “marrying” as soon as the base chaplain can fit it into his schedule. Tattoos are the stuff of trashy whores and I could care less if every dingbat blonde in the country has one, with the tramp stamp a couple of inches up from their ass being the most prevalent.
“If I took her home one evening only to discover she is inked up, I’d get up and walk out.”
Tats on a woman are Kryptonite to Testosterone.
Definitely NOT GUILTY!
Ever.....of anything!
Would you want to serve in todays Military? I served and my wife retired from the service but we both agree that we would not want our kids serving in todays military. When even the Marine Corps Commandant bows to political pressure and colludes to “crush” those Marines via Court Martial for peeing on some dead Taliban instead of trying to protect his Marines well it’s time to just say no.
Ping!
Thanks for the other link. I’m not a fan of tattoos. I think it’s a violation of our God-given bodies. But she sure seems to have the right attitude about everything else, judging from that article.
Woody would agree!
Ugly graffiti on a work of art. Instant guilty.
All the gay FReepers that don’t like that can stand aside. ;-)
Absolutely, if I could again I would.
This day in particular reminds me that America will not survive unless our military is strong.
One thing I’ve always said about tattoos — if you’re determined to get one, make sure it’s a symbol or message that’s of deep significance or importance to you. Something that you can live with for the rest of your life.
My one and only tat is of my family’s Scottish clan badge. It’s on my upper right shoulder where it can only be seen when I go sleeveless.
Somebody call me?
Gone are the days when the military would not take you if you had a tattoo that could not be covered up. Now most of their recruiting comes from the inner cities and most of the recruits, especially Army infantry were former gangbangers, covered in tattoos. I went to the commissary the other day and saw plenty of young soldiers, in uniform, with tattoos on the sides of their neck and almost completely covering their arms. And the uniform of the day, 24 hours a day, are desert BDUs. You can’t tell the Army from the Marines, the Marines from the Air Force. Have not been a Navy base so I don’t know if their 24/7 uniform are BDUs or not. I asked a young kid in uniform did he ever get to wear his blues and he looked at like he had never heard of dress uniforms. So all the world is the desert, and their is no different services anymore. Just clones of each other. Desert BDUs, with brown brogan boots instead of combat boots. Office workers, flightline workers, cooks, mail clerks, they all look like their assigned to Red Horse.
The Lord Jesus has His name written on His thigh. Of course, I tend to take things literally. Rev 19:16 There is only one tattoo I have thought of getting, very tiny also on my thigh:
Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing.
The lady's got a lot of great attributes, and she's pretty as all get out, but she's a bit slim for my taste. I ain't into the Barbie types with big boobs and skinny legs.
You mean normal women.
Thank you. I've never been attracted to the skinny, Hollywood model types. I'll take normal over that, any day of the week.
Not that I've got anything against skinny gals. Plenty of guys just love 'em.
Normal gals work for me too. Women are supposed to be soft and curvy.
