Thanks for the other link. I’m not a fan of tattoos. I think it’s a violation of our God-given bodies. But she sure seems to have the right attitude about everything else, judging from that article.
Gone are the days when the military would not take you if you had a tattoo that could not be covered up. Now most of their recruiting comes from the inner cities and most of the recruits, especially Army infantry were former gangbangers, covered in tattoos. I went to the commissary the other day and saw plenty of young soldiers, in uniform, with tattoos on the sides of their neck and almost completely covering their arms. And the uniform of the day, 24 hours a day, are desert BDUs. You can’t tell the Army from the Marines, the Marines from the Air Force. Have not been a Navy base so I don’t know if their 24/7 uniform are BDUs or not. I asked a young kid in uniform did he ever get to wear his blues and he looked at like he had never heard of dress uniforms. So all the world is the desert, and their is no different services anymore. Just clones of each other. Desert BDUs, with brown brogan boots instead of combat boots. Office workers, flightline workers, cooks, mail clerks, they all look like their assigned to Red Horse.
