Miss Kansas Theresa Vail wants to break the stereotype that women with visible tattoos don't compete in pageants, so she showed off two of her own tattoos during the swimsuit portion of the Miss America competition on Tuesday (Sept. 10).

Meanwhile, the Romney boys are 5 for 5 sitting out the war. Am I the only one bothered by this?
I'm not impressed ... Is she a he ???
Miss America has fallen into ghetto territory. How long before swimsuits are replaced with body paint? Miss Slutty America.
So what ship does she serve on?
(very old joke)
Tattoos, what tattoos?
Gawd that is a nasty looking thing
Nice rack sgt!
What is that junk anyway? some air-headed words that nobody can even read because the ink has blurred?
Twerk skillz competition by 2017.
“How long before swimsuits are replaced with body paint?”
That might boost ratings.
Same impression here. Plus “she’s” going to gain about 100 pounds in middle age.
I don’t care for the ink(ink = follower), but the rest of her Bio rocks...
Not guilty!
The only tattoo that belongs on her would be "USDA #1 PRIME", but then that would defeat the purpose.
But when she struts down Boardwalk Hall in her bikini, she’ll be breaking a long-standing taboo with her two giant tattoos the insignia for the U.S. Army Dental Corps on her left shoulder and the Serenity Prayer running down her right side.
Is it available in Braille?
Not suprized. Beauty pageants have sunk to some pretty sleazy standards.
And so some tattoos are to be expected.
I would certainly take points away from this chick. She had a beautiful canvas. Why would she go and get herself tagged like vacant building in the ghetto?
Sad.
