Twitter is running rampant with #NSACalledToTellMe tweets
Here are some examples:
#NSACalledToTellMe they need to use my bathroom -- the van's portapotty has exceeded its limit
#NSACalledToTellMe Kudos on eating a salad with no dressing instead of The Blue Bell Rocky Road Icecream in my freezer.
#NSACalledToTellMe they're not the NSA, don't know anything and would I please do the damn dishes.
#nsacalledtotellme that my spare set of car keys fell in between the couch cushions!
#NSACalledToTellMe to press 1 if my wiretapping experience was agreeable. If not, please notify next-of-kin of impending absence.
#NSACalledToTellMe their data center is totally CFC & sodium free.
#NSACalledToTellMe my college is paid for, credit card debt forgiven and my range rover will be in the drive tomorrow... #riiight
#NSACalledToTellMe I have a boring life and none of my communications are worth keeping.
#NSACalledToTellMe To move a little to the right. My shoulder was blocking the webcam.
#NSACalledToTellMe that my turds are a threat to national security, and demanded I relinquish them to the government.
#NSACalledToTellMe Adolf Hitler would have given his left nut for their data mining technology.
#NSACalledToTellMe Just because Obama is running the country doesn't mean he knew about this!!
#NSACalledToTellMe. Sorry about missing that Boston bombing thing, we were too busy with you and your grandma.
#NSACalledToTellMe They were jamming my prayers b4 they make it to God so just stop praying already.
#NSACalledToTellMe I don't have to worry about backing up important documents, they've got me covered.
I’m with you on not wanting to go anywhere. I’ve already taken Tom to Mrs. Galindo’s to mow the lawn, and now I have to take Elen to church to leave on a choir trip. On the first outing, I got gas in the van and the mower, and this one will put gas in the car, so Bill can get to his hair appointment tomorrow evening.
Ungh. I put $20 worth in the tank yesterday, and got 5.6 gallons. Still it gave me a skosh over half a tank. Otherwise, I probably would have cancel today’s appointment.
My hair looks so much better this morning!
Someday it will all come out right.
Kittehs—the ideal way to start the day. Good morning, y’all!
Back from the appointment. Right eye scheduled for surgery on Sept 28.
Congratulations!
Ungh!
Now I’m faced with finding someone who can take me, bring me home and spend at least the next 24 hours with me. Not an easy task, for sure.
My sister in St. George is too preoccupied, but since she is “alone,” she would be ideal. She has studiously avoided contact with me, for whatever reason. Her daughter lives here and works as a Dialysis Tech, but I don’t know if she can take the day off. Her work week is Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10-14 hours a day.
*sigh*
Unnngh. Wish I could help!
I've tried five different Restore Points, stepping backward in time one-by-one, and all five returned errors "System Restore did not complete successfully..."
Rebooting to anything other than the Recovery Environment leads only to the dreaded Black Screen Of Oblivion or BLOO screen; not to be confused with the infamous Blue Screen.
Further efforts must be of a more intensive nature.
On the upside, with all of this computer nightmare going on, Son #2 has been accepted as an apprentice by a family friend who owns a computer business. He's taking machines apart, building them up, troubleshooting, installing software -- the works, and is LOVING every minute of it.
Plus, his boss has him going through the ExamCram Network+ books, so he's getting a schooling in the art.
Seems we may have found his niche (happy dance).
The wish counts! I’m sure a way will be found. I just can’t give up on it, because as it is, I can’t see to drive at night. And that spoils things for me. The glare is blinding.
As soon as is remotely possible after the surgery for the right eye, I will have the left eye done.
YAY!
God bless your #2 son! I hope his education in this field is complete and comprehensive. I suspect there are Big Things ahead for him!
:o])
Boot into Safe Mode. Control Panel. Programs. Look for the Windows Updates that could possibly have been the causative install. Should have dates when they were installed.
Remove them.
Reboot.
If I can get to Safe Mode, that’ll be the next attempt.
We’ll see when I get home in a couple of hours.
He’s just gung ho, at this point. The man had received a good computer into his shop, and he had Connor clean it all up, add on a couple of things, and load a bunch of software, and then he turned around and GAVE it to him. Connor’s enthusiasm is running at flood tide, and I’m praying it continues unabated for MANY moons.
Congrats on the job for #2 son! I wish any ordinal number of my sons had a job!
Oof.
On the upside, I found someone to let us into the church for the Cub Scouts overnight tonight. We had not thought far enough ahead to get the key!
YES! My oldest grandson is a Connor! I wish all the best for your son! He will do very well, I’m sure. ;o]
What??? No key for the Sleepover? Wassupwithat?
Thank you; it was not simple, but a matter of continual prayer and trying this, and that in search of something that would turn a spark of interest into a fire of industry.
For the record, Son #1 is also gainfully employed. Since last Fall he’s had a good job at our nearby Chick-Fil-A. Now our focus with him has shifted to practical application of fiscal restraint and sound stewardship.
Kudos for your parenting skills!
I admire you and Mrs. HKMK23!
