Most Overrated Historic Figure(s)
Posted on 04/20/2013 7:55:55 PM PDT by MNDude
There are probably many people in history who have received more credit than they deserved. Excluding any US Presidents in the past century (that would be too easy), what three historic figures do you think are the most overrated?

Bill Clinton, Overated by media who didn’t understand basic economics and gave him credit for all of Reagans work in the 80s. And never blamed him for the financial crash in the 2000s. Also, FDR was not only overated but also one of the biggest traitors in US history. He sold out Eastern Europe to his commie friends. And we paid for 60 years. With Blood of good men, and trillions of dollars. He was a traitor period.

Napoleon was not overrated. I read his biography. He may have been the most competent man on the planet, ever.
MLK is definitely overrated. Many universities no longer observe President’s day, but the all observe MLK day.

I think John Lennon was overrated. He's the guy that played in The Beatles, a rock band from the mid to late 1960s.
After The Beatles, he put out some pretty awful music like that "Imagine" song and the one song where he screams "Mother" at the top of his lungs. Horrible stuff. He did have a couple of catchy songs on that last album of his ("Double Fantasy") but then he got shot.
