Update on the update.
The Dowager fell, but because of self-administered anesthetics, her son helped her up, and she went to bed. It wasn’t until morning that she realized that something was wrong, and I guess it was then that her son called the EMTs.
He then called his daughters who live in So. Carolina, and THEY called the two other sons and various other interested parties.
The hip is fractured, but in reading the hip fracture protocol on WebMD, I doubt she will have surgery, due to her COPD and the fact that she has had several strokes.
I was going to send her a get well card, but I can’t find my card album. *sigh*
She’s evasive in her answers, but I think that’s because she may be a bit embarrassed by what happened. This will just give her and excuse to have the anesthetic and mixer by her bed, as I doubt her ne’er-do-well son is of much use.
Anyway, all is well in Mudville.
