I just spent alot of time posting!
I see that, looks like you hit a small bump.
Pictured: Small Bump
What happened?
Well, someone set up us the bomb?
I'm serious!
Oh, well.. looks like your post got pulled.
Augh! I spent alot of effort on that! How did it happen?!
Couldn't be because you were doing it wrong?
What the, how'd you get that video of m-- uh.. I don't even wear that!
Right Skippy. *cough* Well, since you asked, here's how posts get removed.
First, if it is against TOS it gets seen.
Then it gets marked.
Okay, I have that much.
Then the mods gather:
Pictured, mods gathering.
I don't think that's how it looks, I..
Look, do you want an answer or not?
...Yes?
Right, carrying on.
Then they back their vehicle up to your post.
Whoah! What the heck is that thing?!
It's a machine, that eats other machines.
With this:
I don't see what this has to do with my post vanishing, can you tell me wha-
Watch it question boy! I have a flamethrower!
You want to vanish like your dog did?
What the?! No, not Roozer too!
To be fair, your dog WAS drunk.
What?! Who would even... please don't point that flamethrower at me.
Right, and after they saw your post off the entire forum, they set it on fire.
Wait.. that man. His face, and fire! Oh GOD WHY?!
Oh, HIS post was all about his face, so the mods set it on fire.
After that, they used the ashes to open a gate between our world and theirs, like this:
BLECH! That's horrible!
And those tentacles! GAAAH!
If you think that's bad, you should see what happens when the mods get their hands on a bad thread.
Pictured: Mod hands
Oh look, here comes a mod now.
Looks like they want to ask you about that thread you just posted.
Gaaah! Tell them I'm indisposed!
Pictured: Moderator, dunno which one.
Tell them yourself, they're right behind you.
Wait, don't run away!
We haven't gotten to what happens when they edit your thread title!
This concludes our sordid fictional tale.
If you liked that, we have plenty more in the book "Oh the horrible things you'll summon!" rumored to be written by IamnotaMod
Howya doin’? All patched up, I hope?
Shocked at all by who did and didn’t fall for it?
If it’s not iatrogenic, it’s usually psychiatric patients who drink that much. Then again, there are physical disorders which result in a well-tolerated hyponatremia that would constitute a clinical emergency in the rest of us. (I was fascinated by sodium at one time. Then, I tried to understand the chapter on fast and slow sodium channels in Guyton. Book closed.)
Other old buddy: "I think I went out with her."
Was reading about different toxins and there are several that mess with the sodium channels.
Weird stuff, especially in how it gets expressed.
*guh*
Would you please post the link to the pictures?
They felt really silly. They were so appalled that I felt compelled to explain it immediately.
Are you saying that you have a firm grasp of sodium channels? That is staggering! Only a little less staggering than a firm grasp of the physiology of liver function!
I still don’t understand electricity.
How are you keeping?
Atoms playing pass-the-parcel with their Electrons.
One toxin does you in by blocking the fast sodium channels if memory serves.
I don’t have a firm grasp on it, it’s just info stuck in my head.
Like a book with words on it, the book holds the information but may not understand it.
Another toxin replaces potassium in cell metabolic function and does real bad stuff.
[Arsenic!]
Most toxins described above fall under “Neurotoxins” in main category.
LOL, I was mean and let people go on and on about it.
It was a rainy day, after a few minutes I pointed outside and mentioned the dihydrogen monoxide leak from the sky.
I keep a lot better in the cooler weather, thank you! They drew labs for my annual physical in March and got all in a lather about a couple of results. I explained that I had contracted two viral things between Christmas and March that explained the CBC, and I think the potassium elevation might have been a lab error because none of the other results seemed to support systems failure, but (as usual) no one listens to what I say so they repeated the labs and they were within normal range. When I had to return and redo some processes, I created a spreadsheet with Item, Explanation and Concern columns in duplicate. Believe it or not, this time everything was straightened out. No more going for a checkup without a spreadsheet lol! (They actually wanted to tweak things that were just fine, thank you. Nuh-uh, not on my watch.) Thanks for asking!
That’s because you’re lovable so they’ll put up with it. Me, they’d have tarred and feathered.
The stuff I have trouble with is which way the current goes (positive to negative, is it?) in a wire, and remembering which color wires are for what, and how it makes stuff do stuff. You know, practical applications.
That earned me the “Most likely to be a super villain” label.
I get parts of it, like that potassium is primarily intracellular and sodium is primarily extracellular; it’s when you get to function that’s so confusing.
Some people are adversely influenced by tentacles is all that is. (How’s that for sentence structure heh heh heh!?! This is as close to breaking the rules as I get and I enjoy every second of it bwahahahahaha!)
That’s the part that makes my head go splodey too.
Here’s what wacky podia has to say:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potassium_channel
There exists toxins that mess with calcium channels too.
Not that I remember which ones atthe moment.
[Again, info is in there somewhere.]
Oh well, finishing second cup of java, so off to do chores. Have a great day, y’all!
