What Happened When The Mods Pulled My Post?
About a quart of Gin ^ | April 9 2013 | A Demented Mind

I just spent alot of time posting!

I see that, looks like you hit a small bump.

Pictured: Small Bump

What happened?
Well, someone set up us the bomb?
I'm serious!
Oh, well.. looks like your post got pulled.

Augh! I spent alot of effort on that! How did it happen?!
Couldn't be because you were doing it wrong?
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

What the, how'd you get that video of m-- uh.. I don't even wear that!
Right Skippy. *cough* Well, since you asked, here's how posts get removed.
First, if it is against TOS it gets seen.

Then it gets marked.

Okay, I have that much.
Then the mods gather:

Pictured, mods gathering.

I don't think that's how it looks, I..
Look, do you want an answer or not?
...Yes?
Right, carrying on.
Then they back their vehicle up to your post.

Whoah! What the heck is that thing?!
It's a machine, that eats other machines.
With this:

I don't see what this has to do with my post vanishing, can you tell me wha-
Watch it question boy! I have a flamethrower!

You want to vanish like your dog did?

What the?! No, not Roozer too!
To be fair, your dog WAS drunk.
What?! Who would even... please don't point that flamethrower at me.
Right, and after they saw your post off the entire forum, they set it on fire.

Wait.. that man. His face, and fire! Oh GOD WHY?!
Oh, HIS post was all about his face, so the mods set it on fire.
After that, they used the ashes to open a gate between our world and theirs, like this:

BLECH! That's horrible!
And those tentacles! GAAAH!

If you think that's bad, you should see what happens when the mods get their hands on a bad thread.

Pictured: Mod hands

Oh look, here comes a mod now.
Looks like they want to ask you about that thread you just posted.

Gaaah! Tell them I'm indisposed!

Pictured: Moderator, dunno which one.

Tell them yourself, they're right behind you.

Wait, don't run away!
We haven't gotten to what happens when they edit your thread title!

This concludes our sordid fictional tale.
If you liked that, we have plenty more in the book "Oh the horrible things you'll summon!" rumored to be written by IamnotaMod

The Movie Reviews

"Parental Guidance" with Billy Crystal, Bette Midler, Marisa Tomei, Tom Everett Scott, Bailee Madison,
Joshua Rush, Kyle Harrison Breitkopf, Jennifer Crystal Foley, Gedde Watanabe, Rhoda Griffis, Madison
Lintz, Brad James

2012, Rated PG, 104 minutes

This movie is one of those that try to be funny by having the characters do annoying and senseless things for
the first half. Finally someone grows a brain, and things get better. In this case, a married couple, Tomei and
Scott, must go out of town for a week and are forced to leave their three liberal-raised, touchy-feely children
with her parents, Conservatives Crystal and Midler, because Scott's parents, whom they prefer, refuse. Tomei
is so traumatized that she returns, leaving her husband to go alone. That doesn't help. Not one of our very
favorite movies, but not all that bad in the end. We gave it   ★★★

"The Sorcerer and the White Snake" with Jet Li, Eva Huang, Raymond Lam, Charlene Choi, Wen Zhang,
Vivian Hsu, Wu Jiang, Miriam Yeung Chin Wah, Chapman To, Kar-Ying Law

2011, Rated PG-13, 95 minutes

A departure for Jet Li, one of my favorite martial arts actors, this movie is a beautifully done, CG-heavy fantasy
story about a beautiful snake demon (Eva Huang) who falls in love with a poor herbalist (Raymond Lam). She
enchants him, and he believes that she saved his life and that he loves her. But demons are evil, even though they
occasionally do favors for mankind, and when Li tries to break the spell, the demon gets very violent. The movie
was a pleasant surprise, and I hope that Li does more films like this one. We gave it   ★★★★

It was just from walking around all day in my clogs. I’m fine now, and may run tomorrow, if it’s not raining.

We watched “Hitchcock” this evening. It was enjoyable. The Jet Li movie looks good ... he’s a cutie!

I have some clogs, the are really noisy when I walk on wooden floors. Why don’t clog dancers wear clog? They look kinda like tap shoes. My friend told me that you can’t buy happiness, but you can buy tap shoes and that’s kinda the same.

Everyone looks at you when you’re wearing tap shoes.

I used to wear SAS shoes all the time, but my last pair of loafers wore out a little over a year ago (around the time Kathleen was born), and I discovered they don’t make that kind any more. I think I’d had them ten years. And my sandals gave out last summer, after only eight years! I believe they still make the sandals.

There’s a store over in Pineville - I saw it near the mall when I took the kids there before Easter. Since I haven’t found any other sandals I really like, it could be worth the trip and the price.

Instead of SAS loafers, I’m wearing Dansko clogs for general winter use. Usually they’re fine, but I think carrying Frank during Mass was just too much for my whole skeleton. He’s enormous!

Here is Shannon to tell me it’s not nice outside and we should all go back to bed with her.

What you’ve told us about Tom leads me to believe that would be a very good thing.

One of Tom in a family is plenty. Frank is the other type of brother, like Bill and James: the one who aren’t freak geniuses.

Yeah, she always had that look to her for some reason.

One Vet hypothesized that she may have had some Manx in her due to her face shape.
And her attitude.

*shrugs*
Doesn’t matter, she was a card and I miss her.
