What Happened When The Mods Pulled My Post?
About a quart of Gin ^ | April 9 2013 | A Demented Mind

I just spent alot of time posting!

I see that, looks like you hit a small bump.

Pictured: Small Bump

What happened?
Well, someone set up us the bomb?
I'm serious!
Oh, well.. looks like your post got pulled.

Augh! I spent alot of effort on that! How did it happen?!
Couldn't be because you were doing it wrong?
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

What the, how'd you get that video of m-- uh.. I don't even wear that!
Right Skippy. *cough* Well, since you asked, here's how posts get removed.
First, if it is against TOS it gets seen.

Then it gets marked.

Okay, I have that much.
Then the mods gather:

Pictured, mods gathering.

I don't think that's how it looks, I..
Look, do you want an answer or not?
...Yes?
Right, carrying on.
Then they back their vehicle up to your post.

Whoah! What the heck is that thing?!
It's a machine, that eats other machines.
With this:

I don't see what this has to do with my post vanishing, can you tell me wha-
Watch it question boy! I have a flamethrower!

You want to vanish like your dog did?

What the?! No, not Roozer too!
To be fair, your dog WAS drunk.
What?! Who would even... please don't point that flamethrower at me.
Right, and after they saw your post off the entire forum, they set it on fire.

Wait.. that man. His face, and fire! Oh GOD WHY?!
Oh, HIS post was all about his face, so the mods set it on fire.
After that, they used the ashes to open a gate between our world and theirs, like this:

BLECH! That's horrible!
And those tentacles! GAAAH!

If you think that's bad, you should see what happens when the mods get their hands on a bad thread.

Pictured: Mod hands

Oh look, here comes a mod now.
Looks like they want to ask you about that thread you just posted.

Gaaah! Tell them I'm indisposed!

Pictured: Moderator, dunno which one.

Tell them yourself, they're right behind you.

Wait, don't run away!
We haven't gotten to what happens when they edit your thread title!

This concludes our sordid fictional tale.
If you liked that, we have plenty more in the book "Oh the horrible things you'll summon!" rumored to be written by IamnotaMod

I have flown a Cessna 150. Sort of like driving a small pickup truck, only in the air.

We were late getting off the ground in Detroit because of two drunks in First Class. (Drunks? In First Class? *gasp*)

Then we had to wait in queue for 20 minutes more, and were finally airborne. Yay! It was bumpy over Nebraska and Colorado, but the rest of the flight was uneventful. Except for the dork behind me who kept kicking my seat back.

And His Stigness survived my absence. :o])

Don’t feel bad - she’s rich ;-).

I’m very happy about The Stig. I was worried about him!

Tom needs to check his email.

Flying them is easy. Landing them is a little trickier and lots of fun. I like looking at the scenery and not having to worry about what the other jerks in the sky might be doing.

I would probably want a few more hp than either a Cessna 150 or a Piper Tomahawk if I wanted to travel, but I think I’d want an ultralight just for the fun of it.

I was worried about him, too, but when I read the note, I was almost overwhelmed with gratitude.

He’s silently being obnoxious, staring at me from the corner of his cage. The one he usually avoids. LOL!

It’s cold and windy, this morning, but I have to run to the store in a bit. When I get back, who knows what will happen? I may even slean up the last minute mess I made!

The Stig’s cage is clean, he has fresh lettuce, and he may even start singing. Maybe.

Please stop torturing that poor, sick, innocent cat. That it is desperate is obvious because it keeps returning to you.

If you cannot bear its presence near your home, please get an old towel that you can later discard, collect the cat,
and take it to a no-kill shelter.

Someone who will love and care for it after it has been restored to health will take it in.

And leave a small donation, whatever you can afford. If you can’t afford one, give me their address and reference
information about the cat, and I will send a donation for them to treat it and then adopt it out.

Yes, the motor home has a generator. We pressure-canned last year’s produce and dehydrated about a third of it including sweet potatoes and herbs. Mr. Sg makes jerky and cans chili w/meat and beans. The freezer is good for preserving melon. We dried canteloupe and pear chips which turned out well, but the watermelon was best frozen in sorbet or agua fresca. I also bake treats and freeze them (out of sight, out of mind) until I can drop them off at Earthwoman’s home (she has a bunch of guys who eat anything in their path—it’s great to have them when you love desserts but aren’t supposed to eat them). Apple fritters freeze very well. Kale and collards freeze well, too. What were we talking about?

I guess since we have the generator and a big propane tank to run the motor home in emergent situations, I’ll just have to figure out how to preserve more stuff without freezing. Thanks for shedding light!

Today, I plan to make little pastry tarts with cannoli filling, but instead of semisweet choc chips and citron, they’ll have dried pineapple and milk chocolate chips. The shells are ready to go in the oven and blending the filling is easy. Gotta look around for someone to share with—the people here don’t care for highly seasoned food and/or things with which they aren’t familiar.

I’m looking up no-kill shelters in the area, but none of the websites says “You can bring a cat here.” We’d be willing to give a significant donation to get him off our doorstep. It’s not that we don’t like him, but we don’t want another cat, and I’m not willing to make him a permanent vet-bill expense, either.

Every stray animal for miles arrives across the street at Crazy Cat Lady Vicki’s house.

Good morning! Beautiful and sunny here. Going out for welding equipment.

Mr. Sg planted a bunch of seeds started indoors and brings them outside every day to "temper" them. He looked at the weather report yesterday (30% chance of precipitation) and transported a queen-sized bed's worth of plants down the deck and into the yard. I looked outside later on and it was windy and raining. He then looked at the Catdarscope and saw a tiny, slender patch of ugliness directly over out house. He also would like a device outside with a connection inside to tell him how cold it is. My suggestion to go out on the rear deck to check the temperature and the sky meets with mild disapproval.

We gots to get some welding equipment today.

TheOldLady ~ 48KW generator

moose07 ~ 48KW, oh yes!
That will boil 16 kettles at once!
That's a lot of coffee.
Impressed, seriously, impressed!

You could even make something that is almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea...
