Sounds like you have a creative definition of the burden of proof.
BTW, we went to a board certified M.D. (internist specialty) who is also a Chinese (allopathic) trained doctor (from Taiwan) and acupuncturist. We were very comfortable with this, as he can look at the disorder from both perspectives.
The Nichiren Shoshu Japanese Buddhist sect, which has plenty of adherents here in the States, claims that chanting the phrase “Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo” can bring one material rewards, such as a job, a brand new car, flat screen TV (47’’ diagonal minimum!) I’ve had people swear to me that it works.
There is no question the “P6” point, used in acupuncture and acupressure, works effectively against nausea. This is the under-wrist point. You can either use the wrist bands they sell or just pressure with a thumb or finger. Everyone in my family has used it.
I’ve had acupuncture since the late 70s. For at least 20 years acupuncturists only use disposable needles. I haven’t seen autoclaved needles in a long, long time.
I had acunpuncture many times over the years. Often helped, sometimes didn’t, never caused any harm. Can’t say the same about visiting doctors.
if you don’t like needles you can try accupressure.
A Buddhist chant to get material rewards? That’s too much work. I just play a country music song backwards to get everything back.
There is also Accumulation, aka shopping frenzy, which helps relieve some pains.
I see you’re being a pinhead.
Dad did it but went to China to have it done, said they only know how to do it. Helped is cancer pains.
But I don’t believe in it but whom am I to say...
yes but it brings its own pains....
My aching back is nada. God bless your Dad.
Yes, but does it help with using the keyboard shift key?
WHAT SHIFT KEY?
from the book AIRPORT: the airport manager’s secretary didn’t like upper case. had a mechanic file the letters off the arms of her typewriter. been doing this, except for offuicial correspondence, since i early ‘90s.

Yeah. Clint Jr. who hates needles, did it for his football injuries said it didn’t do bupkis.
Cancer vs back injuries I’m going with anything that helps.
Not Scientology treatments, which I know nothing about.
I know that my mom, a Baptist,, tried acupuncture on the advice of a Unitarian friend, who it had worked for greatly. And it didn't help her a bit.
I know that I have tried holistic medicine on the advise of a friend with a questionable religious practice and it has not worked for me, yet it has worked for her.
My conclusion? Belief is tied to healing within the parameters of my experience. I've had no experience with Scientology and have no beliefs or need to provide burden of proof for something I have not claimed a belief in.
When I mention Scientology specifically, sing its praises, then question me specifically. Until that time, take your self righteous, presumptuous, pipe mad smoke it somewhere else.
