I don’t want a white snake: they’re too expensive.

Mr. Quackers will appreciate the thought. Last year, he was beset by vicious turtle-looking things who took a chunk out of one of his webs. If I see one of those so-and-so’s, I’m gonna give it what-for!

Perhaps the reason that they were so concerned about badgers is that (it appears that) Europe has a relative paucity of bovines. I had been assured by one of my dearest friends that if a badger came to visit us in our new home, we'd have WW III with our team of dogs. Since 2008, our team has been whittled down to one 17 lb. dog with very respectable jaws and teeth. (I miss those babies and our darling Supercat so much.) I don't know where I'm going with this.
Anyway, we took Crowbar for his annual checkup and immunizations. I feel like I've been in a 60 minute wrestling match. He was so terribly nervous and hyperactive that they even escorted me into the back area at the vet so that I could decrease his stress (fat chance). Don't know how many calories it burned, but I've counted it as a workout for today. Interestingly, we stopped at the supermarket for eggs, and the owner of a gigantic pickup truck parked next to us said something to his young passengers about not messing with a woman's dog and he wouldn't have blamed me if I (...muffled words as he closed the door of the truck.) What on earth did he think I'd do to some innocent kids who were curious about Crowbar? So astonishing. I don't need to get out more. There's a lot of peculiarity out there....

I’m certain that they will work very hard. Tonight, I’m going to have really good dreams about kids who work hard and succeed!

NOOOOOOOO! Don’t kill the spiders!!
Don’t you know that killing spiders makes it rain and snow? Yeesh!
Catch and release outside ONLY!! However, you may take them as far away from your domicile as you wish. But NO KILL!!
To: Silentgypsy
vicious turtle-looking things That would be a snapping turtle - they eat ducks. Well, they eat just about anything actually..

Im gonna give it what-for!
Nah... eat them instead. They are delicious.
Here...
Snapper Soup
Of course, if you grab your culprit, it will not be canned, so you will really need THIS recipe...

"NOOOOOOOO! Dont kill the spiders!!" My job as a poet, is to look at things differently.
Spiders
I know you dont like spiders. I think we all agree.
Natures wonders are all great, some things I need not see.
Like spiders in the bathroom! Some folks deny the fact,
But traces show theyve been around, them and their trapeze act!
You may not see a spider, but proof remains behind.
Their spiderwebs displaying dust, in corners and aligned.
They are not there to prove to you your dusting could improve,
But only that some tiny bugs have been upon the move.
Spiders are exterminators, no need to give a call,
They show up anytime youve got those bugs there on your wall.
Theyll clean up all those crawly pests, but if they miss a guest,
Theyll lay some eggs down so their young will dine upon the rest.

You couldn’t give advice on how to be annoying, Colonel.
Now, I could write an instruction book for it, but you’re just not annoying at all.
To: Darksheare
Of course it’s not a bad thing to be the go-to buy for craziness. Your talent for bending and twisting
the inter-dimensional continuum into amusing and informative material is just monumental!
And the trans-dimensional hazards and inverted predators that you warn about gives everyone a
chance, not a great chance, but a chance not to get too maimed or overly and permanently killed.
You’re a great guy, Darks!
