Both drinks have fiercely loyal followings. Which side are you on?
ditto
Just a matter of taste. I do not like sugar in hot or iced tea. I do use fresh mint from my garden in iced tea.
I buy good quality loose tea and brew it. The tea is not bitter.
Me too. Decaf tea in the evening.
GMDA....Great Minds Drink Alike....8)
Sounds good. I have Whittard’s Afternoon tea. My co worker and i make a pot about 2pm most days (except for warm weather months). Annie’s tea time sells Whittard tea in the US. Www.britishtea.com has a good selection of tea. I get Campbell’s Perfect (tea equivalent of coffee) and Taylors of Harrogate tea from there.
I love Lapsang Souchong!
And yeah, it’s not light summer fare.
Both. But iced only. I rarely drink hot tea or coffee anymore.
Both. Coffee for breakfast, with lots of cinnamon, and maybe iced coffee in the afternoon on a hot day. Tea any time during the day, especially in allergy season or when I’m sick.
I’ve never been able to tolerate the smell of tea, so I drink coffee.
Constant Comment rocks! I try all kinds of teas, but just bought Constant Comment again the other day. Really, why do I stray? It’s the best. But with honey or sugar and a bit of lemon or orange— not milk! I grew up with citrus trees in the back yard, and we always used lemon and sugar in tea.
Coffee decaf occasionally I will perk a pot, I have one of those old Corning glass perk pots. Milk only
Hot tea most of the time. Black decaf teabag in a mug with a bag of Yorkshire tea. Milk only
Summers I brew gallons of decaf coffee for the fridge and drink milk only and on the white side.
Summers I brew gallons of decaf tea and lemon and drink plain.
Coffee in the AM. Blue Mountain blend with a smidge of creamer. Two cups of coffee in the morning, one in the afternoon. I also make a pot of Typhoo Tea for hubby.
Mom was British. When I was a kid family sent us loose tea because you couldn’t get decent tea in the US.
So, afternoon tea is something different - usually Earl Grey, but we have an embarrassment of riches in the tea category. I love Jasmine tea and green tea, hubby not so much. Hot black tea is sweetened with honey and lemon, green and Jasmine needs nothing.
Outside the house, ice tea, unsweetened and lemon. And I remember the places that make good ice tea, not that instant xrap. I agree that you can rarely get good hot tea in public, and they don’t really understand keeping the water hot. The places that do that well, get my repeat business.
Grew up with black sulfur water, I still don’t like drinking water.
Same here. Several cups of coffee from about 6:30-10:30 a.m., then a cup of tea around 3 p.m.
I saw that one but was too slow To use it..... You’re a better man than I am GUNGA DIN....
“Coffee in the AM, tea in the afternoon.”
Ditto that.
Ditto. That's usually how I know when I'm recovering...when I start drinking coffee again.
I have some Typhoo tea. Last year I purchased some Rooibus tea. It is from South Africa and is a different non caffinated alternative.
Both. Two cups of coffee in the morning. In a given week, an average of 1 cup of tea in the afternoon.
