If we keep talking about it, one day we might actually jinx Hormel's (HRL) stock -- but we're not there yet.
Shares of the Austin, Minn., food company were up 1.6% Thursday to $36.74, a level that, if it holds, would be an all-time closing high. It would be at the bottom of my list. Never liked it when they served it at school. I like other canned meats better is the main reason I don’t buy it. Plus it is pretty expensive.
I’d rather buy meat on sale and can my own for the most part. Cheaper, tastes better, and I know what’s in it.
Tried it once. Was not impressed. YMMV.
Oh well. There’s always grass or dirt, lol.
I do believe one of the stores I frequent has it. And it’s on sale this week for 1.99 a can. Not sure if that includes the bacon and / or turkey flavor.
I plan to get several cans of it.
Just an FYI for anyone that may be interested, the Family Dollar and Dollar General stores carries TREET which is almost idential to SPAM, but made by a different company.
It’s generally 1.50 a can and it tastes just as good as SPAM.
Wondering if the store website has it on line ? I should go check for you and since it’s on sale.......
I think coupons.com has a printable coupon for 75 cents off of 3 cans ?
