Best news in a long time. That is the main reason I didn’t watch this years.
Imagine all the union thugs who won’t get paid...
I think they should show a televised repeat of the SB halftime show where Prince did his concert in the rain in Miami. It was riveting just to see if the little snot was going to electrocute himself in front of 80,000 people.
Heck, the NE all voted for Obama. Let him sing Karaoke for halftime. Or let him host the “Punt, Pass and Raise Your Taxes” competition.
Watching the healthy young girl on stage, going by the name Beyonce, she was quite agile. I looked at my future daughter in law and said “ you know when Vince Lombardi was winning Super Bowls...this performance would have been called pornography”.
How things change
If the alternative is another lip-sync trash-fest, I’ll take no halftime show!
That's only if you have a huge stage for prancing and dancing on.
If you get an old-time rock-and-roll band (or maybe a country band) that just stands there and plays, then it should not be a problem.

They will find a way to have a half time show, even if it has to be built around fire jugglers to keep things from freezing, they will find a way.
Fine by me. I’m no prude but that skank fest yesterday was too much that I changed the channel (missed the black out) and didn’t go back until the last couple minutes of the game waiting for Elementary to come on.
Marching bands....it would be fabulous!!
No prancing faggots and jiggity sluts? Thank you! The last half-time show I watched for more than about 10 seconds was probably “Up With People” in January of 1980.
Half-time is for tossing the old pigskin around in the street anyway.
The truth is that the organizers were unable to book the performers appealing to the demographic that watches the extravaganza - Gerry and the Pacemakers and Johnny and the Hurricanes.
Good!
I think cold weather Super Bowls are a great idea....that’s how football is supposed to be played.
Tell it to Patton.
Launching a Bailey Bridge in the winter of '44 along the Battle of the Bulge. Some 4812ft of bridging in 41 separate spans were bridged to support General George S. Patton's Third Army in the winter of 1944.
No more good rock bands anymore but Ted Nugent would have been entertaining last night, or even a jazz or country band.
Time to move the Super Bowl to Saturday night. There were at least 20 people missing from work this morning.
Can’t believe that nobody made a joke about global warming and that by this time next year, the cold would be nothing to worry about.
Rather of a halftime show, how about some entertainment instead?
Great!
Just
Play
the
Damned
Game
It will be refreshing to see the Superbowl played outdoors in a cold climate.
Reminds me of the “Old Days,” when the game was played in Green Bay, and other cold climes.
Oh well, there’a always the bar at the Holiday Inn to give these has-beens a paying gig.
Fine with me.
I've watched many 1/2 time super bowl shows. Most I don't remember anything about and those I do remember were, for the most part, classless, boring, lacked talent and were just downright terrible.
2013 is one I know I'll forget.
