Men, mopping the kitchen may not help you get lucky in the bedroom!
Men who do more household chores typically viewed as feminine - like cleaning, cooking and washing - have less sex than those who don't, according to a new study.
The findings, published in the journal American Sociological Review, are correlational, so they can't say whether dish-washing actually makes men less sexy.
"Our findings suggest the importance of socialised gender roles for sexual frequency in heterosexual marriage," said Sabino Kornrich, lead author from the Center for Advanced Studies at the Juan March Institute in Madrid.
"Couples in which men participate more in housework typically done by women report having sex less frequently. Similarly, couples in which men participate more in traditionally masculine tasks' such as yard work, paying bills, and auto maintenance-report higher sexual frequency," Kornrich said in a statement.

But it does make their hands softer.
Ooohh!! I like that. Funny. or not (
Somehow, all men secretly know this to be true.

My swinging bachelor pad uses nothing but paper plates and plastic dinnerware for this very reason.
maybe they are actually tired from working like their wives are, so they are sleeping instead of bothering their wives to have sex with them so they can get to sleep
No man was ever shot by his wife while he was washing the dishes.
Speaking from personal experience this is not true...

Being a real man has to do with being in control of yourself and master of your environment. Women don’t want a wuss.
So, you can choose to do whatever you wish, including mopping and cooking. Just so long as it’s your choice, and not a dictate you accept.
Funny.
As a man who has experienced two long term marriages, one with very little hanky panky, and one with, well, never mind, I can tell you that my experience is the exact opposite.
I suppose that if housework was all I did this might not be true.
It's just amazing how bad she will let this place get when I don't clean it. Women are pigs!
I emailed it to my wife, not sure how she’ll take it, but I know that I do more of the day to day stuff, (laundry and cooking, dishes, etc) than she does, she does more of the “deep cleaning” quarterly (scrubbing showers, tubs, etc).
I won’t necessarily comment on frequency other than to say the report is not incorrect in my experience.
Some years back my wife went back East to visit her friends and stay with her parents for a while.
My job wouldn't let me loose that long, so I had to batch it after 30 years of married life.
I ate off the china dishes. When the dishes ran out, I ate off saucers, then the bowls. They all piled up in the sink. When I ran out of china, I ate out of the pots. When I ran out of those, I ate out of the cans.
A month later, when I heard her car in the driveway I started the dishwasher.
LOL!
That is bent!
‘I knowed this was a scam!’
You can tell us what to do, or you can tell us how to do it, you do not get to do both.
