Yeah.. that voice and that song was a perfect match...
Ha! My mom used to sing that all the time when I was little.
I totally didn’t get it. There were no Katies in our house. LOL.
I used to love being the old broad on the dance floor whenever some group (or DJ) played “Land of 1000 dances” and I could let-er-rip. If I tried that now, I’d need a hip replacement!

LOL.....
I will do the whole tune for you, in honor of your mother :-)
K K K Katie, beautiful Katie, you’re the only G G G Girl that I adore...when the M M M Moon shines over the mountain. I’ll be waiting at your K K K kitchen door”
(or something like that ;-)
LOL...
And the last of the Bacharach crap.
Her choice is "Accept me for who I am" or some-such. She blows the song out of the water.
Minaj: Oh goodness gracious. The fact that didn't sound at all oldfashioned--that sounded like a new R&B song. When you can do that, that means this is what you were born to do. That was exquisite.
Randy: For me, this is what this show is all about. Best vocal of the night. Started it so simple. Saved all the candy stuff for later. So emotional. So good. So crazy good!
Mariah: [I'm not going to type anything else she says. A thousand nonsensical words to say nothng. She loved the performance, of course]
Keith: You set the bar really high. You just became one of my Top 3 [like she wasn't there before?]
Awww. She would love that.
Love, love, love Angie and her second song.
Angie screeches the high notes
Are they enhancing Angies singing?
She always does so well when she’s singing at the piano! Loved this number!
I don’t think so. Had a really nice tight harmony behind her. I thought she nailed that song.
I think she did well too, but the high notes sounded “strained” to me......then again, my ears are still bleeding from that disaster Mumbles yelped earlier

Thanks you answered it by referencing the harmony.
Keith called it background . She was very good aided by that harmony as it fit her voice extremely well
I LOVE THIS! I love Kari Jobe, and Angie is doing this song so well! And the doves are a nice touch. :^)
LOVE CAME DOWN! Yes, it did! Sing it, Sister! I think I’m going to cry...
(I’m having my own little praise and worship now. :^D )
Ok, I have a question....just exactly what threads do all of you snarkers hang out on when Ai is NOT on TV? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?
I will go first......I can be found in the Levin Lounge whenever rush hour traffic permits :-)
Round 2: Songs You Wish You Had Written.
Her choice is Kari Jobe's "Love Came Down".
Back at the piano--good. Staring straight at the camera. Don't know this song, but it sounds like something that she would have written herself. Excellent.
Randy: I love that for so many reasons. That's who you are. There's something about you at the piano. We feel it more. Amazing.
Mariah: Angie, that piano and you? You never lose. Organic to you. Perfect at the right moment.
Keith: You just shine (at the piano) [predicts as she becomes more comfortable on stage, she wont' be so dependant on the piano, she'll be able to move the audience without it]
Minaj: When I came down hard on you for doing that overtly sexy thing? If I'm not crying after your performance, something's wrong. This is Angie. This is something the other girls can't do. The other girls are taking all the trophies. (says she has to step it up like this every time if she wants to stay in the competition)
Yeah... there are technology things they can do to a voice. Auto-tune etc... but those always have a tone or characteristics that are recognizable once you know what to look for. I don’t think her vocal was “processed” in that way.
I guess I have to find other threads to hang out on. Usually I am just drifting around FR and when I run into one of us I jump for joy.
