I think that Deven will actually make the final four, possibly top three..simply because teen and pre-teen girls do the majority of the voting, and he's the only cute guy to vote for.
Especially when Jimmy I had her in his top 3.
Yup..and Lazaro as the one who should definitely get booted off..
“I noticed last night when Kree joined Lazaro on the safe side of the stage, he said something to her that was caught on mic. Part of it was bleeped but it didn’t sound like he stuttered at all.”
IMHO, Lazaro is the biggest phony they ever had on Idol. I am getting to detest his ploys for sym...sym...pa...pa..thy!
That junk needs a bigger, wider trunk!
Paul is a nic guy, cute guy. I think he will make a career outside of Idol.
ROFL-OMG—LMAO...and all the other internet gibberish!!
I’m splitting a gut here over your remarks (1950’s lingo.)
BTW—I hated that song about some loser lusting after a 17 year old girl. In my state, sex with a girl that age is called “statutory rape.”
Thank you kindly!

Right? A Uhaul.
Hiya! :) I love to read this thread — thanks!
That guy who plays van Alden is such a good actor. I hate him. I mean his character. That drowning the Jew scene was very close to too painful to watch.

I had to fast-forward through that one too. It was ridiculous. That entire character is ridiculous. They go out of their way to make sure we know he's a "Christian" (at least HBO's idea of what a Christian is), so of course he has to be a murdering psychopath adulterer.
It would have been much more interesting to have one character on the show that keeps his values and doesn't give in to all the depravity around him.
I see it a little differently. Where I think most people in the show are a very murky combo of good and bad, Van Alden sees everything in complete black and white and there is absolutely no grey area at all, including his own thoughts and actions. IMO, he has no concept at all how to handle emotions. He feels rage at Sesbo and instead of turning him in, he kills him. Feeling lonely, instead of finding comfort in his wife, goes out and finds an easy girl. Instead of coming clean to the US attorney, he runs and changes his identity. He can’t do anything a little bit. Everything is the most extreme thing possible.
In the 3rd season, the new “wife” seems to be better for him in terms of getting him to relax and be more in the grey area, but then..um things happen. SJ have you watched season three yet? You must!

Agree. The show keeps getting better and better.
The way they keep revealing new quirks in the characters, and the shockers
of what happens make it very worthwhile.
Have seen Arnold Rothstein character start to show up in a couple of other
films, shows etc.
Funny when you think of him as Arnold, and see him as someone else :) ;)
I haven't seen season 3 yet. Have to wait for the DVDs.
It just irritates me. A Christian portrayed on TV now has to be extreme. Just like anyone in the military or who is a veteran has to be shown as a victim, a lunatic or a brainless robot.
If HBO really wanted to push the envelope, they'd have a Christian character who is actually a Christian and displays the fruit of the Spirit in his behavior: "love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control". That would be a HUGE contrast to everything going on around him and it would make his character unique. But Van Alden isn't unique. He's just another Hollywood stereotype.
Sorry for the rant. That's been building up for a while, lol
Evenin’, Patriot :)
Grab your ear plugs, the yelping is about to begin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;-)
