Time to wheel out Stevie Wonder again.Oh yeah. I had blocked that out. I wonder how he'll work Obama into the lyrics this time.

Wow, Jimmy is giving a real smack down to everyone tonight. Good for him. And he knows the ratings are tanking this year so they better regroup and get it in gear. It would give this show a HUGE boost if they made him a judge*--and if he was as blunt with the truth as he was tonight. This "I know that you tried--I commend your courage" stuff is weak.
*replacing Minaj of course :)

Im not a Minaj fan... but at least shell say it was bad.I do agree with that. As annoying as she is, she's the only one that will say something sucked.
Keith doesn't bother me--he seems to have stopped trying to dissect every performance like he's trying to solve a murder. But Mariah might as well not be there at all. Like someone else on the thread said, "A million words to say nothing."

I am sorry, but I am cracking up by myself listening to Lazaro talk. The poor guy...and yup, he gets the pity vote. Not to be rude, but why do they ask Lazaro questions that require more then a yes or no answer? It just gets awkward for everyone.
Either he's doing it on purpose, or Idol being the manipulators that they are, knowingly ask him these questions so his stutter will be on full display.
I noticed last night when Kree joined Lazaro on the safe side of the stage, he said something to her that was caught on mic. Part of it was bleeped but it didn't sound like he stuttered at all.

The pity vote will definitely keep La la la lazzzzzaro in the comp probably for a couple more rounds. But like you I am starting to wonder if any of this is just for sympathy votes. No doubt he would lose to Kree or Angie or Candice. But if he keeps on singing at this level and still wins, Idol will become a total joke and be gone.
