Now that Obama has decided he has unlimited powers and can ignore Congress and the U.S. Constitution, how far will he go with his "executive orders" and "recess appoitments?" Now it's gun control, next it'll be what? As this power-hungry, law-ignoring, dictator keeps flexing his muscles is the media in his sights? How about an executive order that all news stories or articles concerning the government have to be reviewed by a government panel prior to publishing or airing? Sound far-fetched? Perhaps. But, as Obama keeps stealing powers that he doesn't legally have the sky is the limit. Be careful what you wish for! Brian Williams may end up having to call the White House asking Obama's approval to air a story. After all, Freedom of the Press is only guaranteed in the Constitution and we all know that means little to the current White House squatter.
Who will be the first to do so??? Or are they all going to roll over and play dead like they did during his first term???
This is ALREADY the case, wake up you naive author! Why do you think not a PEEP of questions about Sandy Hook or a PEEP of questions about Benghazi.. Sheesh!
I don’t think that would bother them. It’s probable that Brian Williams does call 0 to make sure their stories are strait. The WH probably does review the top news stories. They certainly all work from the same talking points.
I think all “journalists” should submit to a background check before they can publish a story. And certain types of stories should be prohibited...
There are two kinds of media-—FOX-—and US Pravda
we should have protested the media in 2007 when their digusting attacks started, we should have gone after them like they have never seen before
Now it's gun control, next it'll be what?Hey, as long as they supported Hitler, Jews for Hitler were perfectly safe, I mean, other than the whole herded-onto-the-same-trains thing.
The problem with articles and opinions like this, is that conservatives still separate the media from the Democrat Party and the leftist-thought process. The media IS the Democrat Party. I would think the next step is not for Obamaâs government to hurt them, but to bail out newspapers like the New York Times, as they did GM.
according to Newt Gingrich the use of a Presidential executive order mandates that it first have a LAW for which it applies and the EO can only expedite or delay the implementation of said law. If a law is to be changed it has to go through the legal process. EOâs are invalid otherwise. They certainly are not valid to circumvent the process of making law.
All quotes and images about the president already have to be cleared by the white house.
How about an executive order that all news stories or articles concerning the government have to be reviewed by a government panel prior to publishing or airing?
Don't need an executive order, it's already happening. ABC, NBC, NYT, Media Matters, etc. run everything by Axlegrease and Jarrett now.

Stand up and do what exactly? People keep saying this as if there aren't good conservatives in Congress standing up to Obama all the time. The problem isn't that no one is standing up to him, they just don't have the power to do anything. As an elected official, you can't just start yelling and screaming about Obama. That is counter productive. That sort of thing sounds crazy, and people generally won't get behind an opposition party that sound nuts (like, for example, Alex Jones did the other night).
The time to stop Obama was at the ballot box. The right is so divided that we couldn't even get everyone here to vote for the only candidate (Romney) that could have prevented Hussein from winning a 2nd term. Obama won re-election and even Rasmussen polling of Likely Voters shows the majority of Americans are with Obama. They like him, they want to keep liking him, they don't want to hear anything bad about him - and there is not a thing we can do to really stop Obama unless or until we have the majority of people behind us.
Conservatives better find a way to unify pretty quick or we are sunk. That means social conservatives are probably not going to get much of an emphasis on social issues going forward, and it means the growing movement of libertarian leaning conservatives among us are going to have to bite the bullet and drop the insistence on isolationist foreign and defense policies. It is clear our main focus needs to be on debt, curtailing the growth of government, diminishing the entitlement state, etc. If everyone keeps demanding their version of a pure candidate or party, we are going to keep letting the left run circles around us.
How about 'The Precious Metals Purchasing Act'.
Been there done that. Haven't you noticed?
We already have state-run media, but it’s not by legal edict; rather it is by enthusiastic mutual consent.
ABC/Disney, NBC/Universal, MSNBC, CBS/Viacom, CNN, Google/YouTube, Wikipedia, Facebook - broadcast and Internet media are theirs.
NYT, LAT, Gannett, AP, Reuters, Chicago Sun-Times, NY Daily News, Boston Globe, Boston Herald, SanFran Chronicle - print media is theirs.
NPR and PBS have always been government-owned and operated.
Rush Limbaugh’s “Audio Montages” have been proof for decades of the media’s talking points and their alliance with the Leftist party in power.
I long for the day when these four words will again strike fear into people’s hearts: “Vous etes un collaborateur.”
Obama is there as long as the real powers want him to be. He is a front just like the past POSs.
If God and the Bible are mere jokes to these people why would you think the Constitution would mean anything?
There is no need for White House review prior to publishing - I have not ever seen a negative comment on anything that a democRAT does. I have not seen any complaint of the two bills that have been passed WITHOUT being read.
