I'm giving up on Drudge report for a while, not going to visit it.
There is too much subtext going on, incitement and hyperbole, propaganda and manipulation. The picture that often accompany headlines are not in context with the 'moment' but rather stock photographs that portrait an emotion or sense of predicament that the author wants us to feel.
Almost every headline for the past few months have been foreboding impending doom of some sort that I don't want to deal with or be reminded about on a daily basis.
Just sticking with Fox News, they temper that stuff down and keep things in reasonable terms. Townhall does similar things that drudge does, so I haven't been visiting them as often as I once did. Politico, I gave up on politico about 4 months back because of their pro-progressive slants. WND, I visit on occasion because I really like Joe Farrah and his writings, but WND in general lacks veracity and is somewhere between a dubious blog and a dubious news outlet.

Drudge has been out front on 2nd Amendment rights so far.

FWIW Both Drudge and Fox are on my nogo list unless it’s necessary for work. Haven’t been to Drudge for ages, Fox since the election.

I click on drudge everytime i log on the computer been doing that since he first came on the scene takes moments and gives a great glimps of what is going on but my go to is home sweet home Free Republic I received a smart phone for Christmas and can now ck it in the field
Drudge did quite a hit job on Newt early in the campaign.. Drudge was no longer my default home page after that.
So he should just put articles about unicorns and rainbows? Would that make you all happy and warm?
His Louisiana Flash-riot-Mob story did lead me to more info about Ocotomom. Back on Welfare in California.

I’m also thinking of trying to pull back. There’s so much that’s infuriating that I can’t do a thing about. Why let the basterds get you down?

Every news outlet is propaganda. We are lied to by all sides. I check Drudge and other sources and try to sift a few grains of truth from all the lies and propaganda out there. But it is all very depressing.

Yea, I think I will give up on the truth for a while. I will sneak off into my own make believe world where things are exactly like I like them. Politicians and weather people will always tell the party line. The department of truth will issue my correct things to think and say.
