Russian PM not joking – extraterrestrials live among us according to MIB documentary

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev’s off-air comments that Russian Presidents are given a secret file about extraterrestrials living among us created much media interest. Most news reports claimed that Medvedev was simply joking. His apparent reference to the Men In Black movie as a source of information on a super secret agency that monitors extraterrestrials on Earth was commonly cited as key evidence that he was in fact joking. The reasoning is that no political leader would refer reporters to a comedy to clarify national policy. It has now emerged that Medvedev was not referring to the Men in Black comedy after all, but to a recent Russian television documentary titled “Men in Black” that reveals many details about an extensive cover up of extraterrestrial life visiting Earth.

However, a more accurate translation of what Medvedev actually said about the Men in Black phenomenon was: “You can receive more detailed information having watched the documentary film of the same name.” So Medvedev was referring to a Russian “documentary film” titled Men in Black, not the Hollywood blockbuster by the same name...

Russian Men In Black (MIB) documentary, a number of prominent UFO cases in Russia and the USA are discussed. The Roswell UFO crash is covered, along with a number of extraterrestrial abduction cases, and UFOs disabling nuclear weapons facilities. The documentary examines testimony that extraterrestrial bases have been established on Earth, and that some are in restricted US military areas with the full knowledge of the Pentagon. The documentary even goes on to seriously discuss President Eisenhower’s alleged meeting with extraterrestrials, where agreements were reached with some of the visitors giving them permission to take some of the Earth’s resources in exchange for advanced technology...

I drag them out when I’m feeling especially blue. Today may be a good day for doing it....

That's what chocolate is for.

Brown defeats blue...

I am not a fussy eater.

Growing up we were so poor my mom made pickle soup for dinner three times a week.

Food that the family didn’t like very much the first time. And speaking of which, it’s time to start making the chicken omelette.

I was thinking of ordering a DVD from the Ignatius catalog, but decided to check Netflix first. Turns out they have at least a dozen I’d like to see, and it doesn’t cost me an extra dime!

I didn’t realize how economical my mother’s cooking was until I learned that many others didn’t live on what we called “ship food.”

When Dad wasn’t at sea, she made “real food.”

We never had dessert.

My mom used to say — if you have room for dessert, you have room for real food — like pickle soup for instance.

I won't subscribe to Netflix. I can't imagine having to make sure I watch $10 worth of movies every month. What if I'm busy one month, you know?

I'll just pay for the ones I want to watch when I want to watch 'em. My life doesn't need any more stress.

We have Netflix instead of cable or broadcast tv (except for PBS, when the wind is right and the sky is clear). It gives us control over what the Offspring watch and when.

I once had the opportunity in Yamagata, Japan, to sample some kind of tuber marinated in and then simmered for hours in soy sauce.

Unfortunately, I didn't pass on that opportunity. It took care of my desire for breakfast for days to come.

We don't have any of 'em. We go out and rent a DVD, or pay per view for streaming.

*spew*

What a waste of bacon and avacados.

Don't *spew*... Don't waste the bacon and avocado, take the recipe, flush the tofubeast, and substite a slab of real beastofyourchoosing.. ;-) Hey... I don't write the recipes I just find them. ;-)

Now, if I were to make a sandwich using avocado and bacon, it would look more like THIS or maybe THIS... (although the sprouts in the last one are a bit over the top..)

Does this atone for sending you a tofubased recipe?

Soy Sauce Beef and Eggs

Wondering if you are going to translate the Korean glyphs for us, or do you have foreknowledge that this is something better left unseen?

However, a visual inspection does indicate that this recipe is tofubeast free... ;-)

Mom just called. She's headed over to Time-Warner to scream at them and screw up the corrections on the phone that I finally managed to get in place day before yesterday, her phone is scheduled to be up today, but it's not working RIGHT NOW, and she's going to charge them with elder abuse if they don't fix it on the spot, and give her her old number this instant (this is in the pipe for next Tuesday, and can't be done quicker).

And by the way, she's managed to figure out how to keep her cell phone from ringing, but not how to get it to ring again.

“What’s for supper?”

“Tuber in soy sauce!”

Could this be the way to get them to stop asking?

Some of the older set have trouble figuring out that the on and off button are the same, or that that's what the little circle with a line in it means.

Speaking of which, why is that what a circle with a line in it means? Who came up with that silly symbol?

OK. You’re forgived.

Tofu should only be used in times of extreme starvation, such as, when roots, tubers and tree bark and leaves are not available.
