#1 Cancel your cable. You’d only be supporting the MSM that lied and defended Obama to the tooth and help secure his re-election. I cancelled my cable and saved $1000 from going to Hollywood and the MSM.
#2 Get some business card printed up that say “Obama’s government has taken all of my money and I am unable to leave you a tip. You might try calling the White House at: (phone number) and ask Obama for your tip.” Leave this on the table whenever you go out to eat at restaurants or places where tips are customarily given.
#3 Before hiring anyone to do work on: your car, lawn, house cleaning, home repair, etc., ask them who they voted for. If they either won’t tell you or say “Obama,” tell them “Sorry I can not trust your judgment when it comes to matters of national important, how could I trust your judgment when it comes to my car, house, etc....”
As Obama said in 2008,”Elections have consequences.”
This is just wrong. If you can afford to go out for dinner you can afford a tip. Your waitperson is working, just like you, they have a job and are doing it.
You want to punish the Liberal elite, stop going to movies, Buy Ford instead of GM or Chrysler, don't contribute to PBS and NPR. But don't take it out on someone that is working.
On the other hand, if the person is a Democrat and/or Obama supporter....

Agree. There’s lots of ways to make your point without sticking it to service providers who work for tips. Besides, unless you intend to not reurn to the eatery where you leave your card, such an act is just plain dumb cause those waiters/waitresses, etc will have their revenge on you. Maybe a big green booger mixed in with your pasta or something. Use your thinker, ok....
And you can tell their political affiliation just by looking at them.
Whether you contribute to PBS or not, your tax dollars go to it anyway. However Veritas is on to something. As the economy grows worse under Obama’s ‘’leadership’’, I’m going to lord it over a liberal. That liberal, or rather liberals will be my two younger brothers and one of my younger sisters who voted for this clown. These are my kin for crying out loud and I’m going to ride them to the point of either them or me disowning each other. To any other liberal, well, depending on the situation, it’s going to be colorful. In conversation, with conservative or liberal I’ll make very clear that Barack Obama is not my president.

You missed my point. You will not make a convert by punishing a person that is working. Veritas suggested leaving a business card with a snarky comment for a waitperson. The server is working, in most cases for less than minimum wage. They need tips to survive/ live on.
In my younger days long long ago, I worked for many years as a cocktail bartender and bar manager. The school teachers and school administrators liked to use their Friday teachers’ conferences to come over to our very large steakhouse restaurant and spend the lunch hour and entire afternoon in our bar lounge. They were typically rude, demanding, obnoxious, loudmouthed, opinionated, and ignorant. They left everyone around them with no doubts whatsoever about their political affiliations with the Democrats, socialists, unions, and endless entitlements. Theey pushed their way in front of other customers waiting for service. They treated the cocktail waitresses and bartenders with impatient contempt. If they left a tip at all, it was typically small change and a bad joke. Eveen the owner finally lost patience with them in the end, despite their dozens of dinners, and suggested they find another restaurant to hold their Friday teachers’ meetings.

Yes, it is surprising how often we do just that. My wife and I kind of fell into playing an unspoken game by seeing if we can guess whether or not a given person is a Liberal and/or identifies with the Democrats, socialists, or communists. We look at each other and grin when we’ve guessed correctly and ask a leading question to confirm our suspicions.
We typically tip almost no matter what, but their have been a few of those people who got nothing after their Liberal attitude for work led to nearly total neglect or surliness.
Better just to stop eating out entirely and paying the taxes.
We cancelled cable yesterday. As soon as the contract is up I am cancelling all cell phones. We can use the land line instead. It seems to me everyone was happier without all the phones. I’m trimming everything down to necessities only. Things will not be too good in the future and though it hurts to say it my kids need to learn some lessons on having fun in more traditional ways.
We may see the day when a large home cooked meal is a luxury, celebration and a true gift.(not that it is not now, but you get the point). Stay safe and be prepared.
Veritas advocating leaving NO tip ever. If I recieve poor service I agree about leaving little or no tip. But you can't have a complete zero tip policy. as you said you used to work in the food service business.
Idea #2 will just make servers think conservatives are jerks. Bad, bad idea.

not the way to win friends and influence people
Yesterday I was in Home Depot with my husband. We had a flat cart with 6 bags of concrete and some boards for framing. I was pushing the cart and my husband was loading.
We got in line behind a man who was also buying lumber and I left a little room between us so our boards wouldn't smack and people could move around us.
A Mexican woman with some paint and painting supplies angled herself to cut right in front of me! I politely said, "Hi. I am next." I could see the side of her face and she was barely 10 feet away from me and she ignores me and edges forward!
I was suddenly overcome with a nice guys finish last feeling and when the man with construction supplies started to leave... I shoved my 400 pound cart with all my strength and the woman was forced to back up quickly to keep from being mowed down.
I am not pushy. I am usually the calm and patient person in the room! I'm the lady that says, "I'm in no hurry, you go ahead." But at that moment I almost irrationally was overcome with the feeling that nice people never win and honest Christian's will always be taken advantage of... and I kinda saw red.
At that moment I wanted to Occupy something! I wanted to poop on a police car. I wanted to be the one fanatically screaming about insults to my religion, and threatening violent irrational retaliation.
Today I feel mostly back to my normal respectable self, but I will admit I liked that the Mexican woman gave me a very wide berth in the parking lot. She walked well out of her way and when she passed she avoided looking me in the eye. It felt good.
Regarding the tips, I’d say just cut back on them. If you normally tip 20%, roll it back to 15%. If you normally throw a few dollars tip for minor tsdks, cut that back 33%.
Explain that times are tough and you wish you could tip more and that you hope things will be better in a few years.
Send New Year Greetings to Obama supporters you know. Thanking them for the round of 2013 Obama Taxes that won’t get dropped because Obamacare won’t get repealed. If they need a job tell them to apply to the IRS because they’ill be needing 18,000 new agents to get that from the 27 year old single moms ordered to payup on a non exisiting healthcare policy.
