Why yes, yes it is. Come back in three weeks and we’ll talk.
This is the first year that early Christmas music hasn’t irritated me. This year I’m RELISHING every moment of every Christian celebration. My Jewish friends don’t mind, because they know I love and respect them. The Muzzies are another matter. Decorate and trees and carol your hearts out, America! We’re gonna take this country back!
The background music in our house has been Christmas for about a month.
Lights are almost all up and our shopping is done.
It's a pretty warm feeling
Can we have Thanksgiving FIRST????
Yes, WAY too early. We've still got a month to go till Advent, which begins this year on December 2, and even that is only a season of PREPARATION for Christmas. I prefer Christmas music starting as it should, on the evening of December 24, and then going for the twelve days of Christmas, until Epiphany on January 6.
Now if you're talking about the other "Christmas," the artificial one, then I don't care, since it doesn't have much to do with the real Christmas.

Yes.
never too early . go get ‘em , cowboy
A good rule of thumb is to wait until Rush starts playing Mannheim bumper music.
Not at all. Christmas is only 54 days from today. I started mixing TransSiberian Orchestra into my workout music about two weeks ago :-)
It’s always too early for Kenny G. music.
I keep one of my Christmas trees up all year long as well as the creches, and yes, I get out the Christmas carols before Christmas. Why not celebrate the fulfilled message of Christmas all year long?
LUKE 2:10-14
10 But the angel said to them, Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.
13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.
Yes, it is too early.
But if you’re going to bring it up, let’s hear from some real traditional good acts instead of this jazzed-up garbage which is generally soulless and detracting. I love me my Johnny Mathis, and some Mormons, and ...well alot of old guys.
There are only 2 specific “modern” Xmas songs (not acts, just songs/arrangements) I like - Boni M’s “Mary’s Boy Chile” and whoever’s “All I Want for Xmas is You” (NOT Mariah Carey’s of same title - love you Mariah, but not that stupid song). Everything else I couldn’t care less about.
Yes
Nov 1st - Dia de los muertos
I love Christmas and Christmas music (especially instrumentals and Trans-Siberian Orchestra), but it’s too early for me.
Normally I’d say no, but a couple of the stores around here have had Christmas stuff on the shelves since August. In September, Kohls had decorations up, including trees in the entranceway. When you see Christmas for almost half the year, it loses its specialness.
If you spend much Black Friday time in the retail business you reach a point where you never want to hear Christmas music ever again.
Quite a lot of different opinions for different reasons.
I had it on yesterday! :)
I am in serious need of some Christmas cheer this year...
Cherish the Ladies (Celtic Christmas music) is one of my favorites!
