Oh my..How I hate the flu..I haven’t had it in years..but it lasts so long..and is so debilitating!

I am in bed with ice packs and am taking care.
(and thinking..thank heavens I don’t have the flu!}
How inviting..Love it..It’s 60 and sunny here..coldest it’s been..We are in for another great week of sunny 60s and 70s.

Beaches where Doggies are allowed are VERY few and far between.
However, the last weekend of the season, Quiet waters opens up their Water park (complete with water slides, fountains, splash pools etc) for Doggies ONLY!
A Total BLAST!

The plague I have, started on Wednesday too.
Got worse everyday, so this morning after shining a flashlight into my red splotchy throat I went to urgent care.
I must have looked bad (have laryngitis couldn’t talk, gave receptionist a note with the details) and she took me to a “special” waiting room. That’s where they send ya if you have the plague I guess.
Well, it’s called acute pharyngitis. Which means your throat is on fire, can’t swallow,fever, swollen lymphs in neck, body aches, headache etc.
Doc says it would be better if it were Strep throat because they can cure that. I have to live through it, he says 10 days is average.
He kindly prescribed me syryp with codiene in it for the throat pain.
Talk about a wasted Thanksgiving. Well, I did muster a few “thank yous” to God for providing me with medical care today. But I am still bummed I missed Thanksgiving.
Hope we all get better fast.

Most big doggies love the water. We had a shepard who went through a pool every summer. When the weather started turning cool, she didn't want water in it but loved to play in it and just tore it to pieces!

875 mg amoxicillan. 4 days, my wife and I, kids are ok but we have been avoiding close contact but the are all older.

I missed Thanksgiving last year because of “The Back” It had hit point agony and sitting at a dining table was impossible.
At least I can get relief after a few hours in bed with my feet up and ice packs. I’ll be off my feet mostly for awhile until it stops yelling at me.
I have never had pharyngitis.and hope I never do!

Yep, got this as holiday gift from the hubby, who got it last weekend from a friend. The gift that keeps on giving!
