We have seen several “Obama post motem” pieces the last few days. The media seems to be slowing letting it out, that Obama is losing. Hopefully 168 hours from now, Obama will be giving his concession speech.
That they’re playing CYA by bringing out the knives.
I don’t think most people will be amused with their last minute conversion. The bias has been blatant for so long.
Michael Barone is probably the most honest and balanced person and when he said it was over in 2008 I scoffed, but he was right and I figure he is right in 2012.
They just don't realize it yet.
The news business isn't about stating opinions; it's about the timely delivery of trustworthy information. Once you lose the trust, you can never get it back. The legend they helped David Axelrod and Co. create has been revealed as an empty chair.
yesterday, NPR had a piece on how President Romney will govern and conduct himself...
It’s called sucking up to the next President. They want to ensure they get access, interviews, and invites.
From the article: “If Romney ultimately becomes the 45th president of the United States, the political set will be talking about Obama’s flawed campaign strategy for decades. He had a disastrous Plan Aand no Plan B.”
I do believe Romney’s rise is almost 90% due to the flatfootedness of Obama and his team, after his lousy debate performance. So much weirdness has ensued... from Biden grinning like a hyena to jaw-dropping ads comparing voting for Obama to first-time sex. It’s started creeping out the electorate, even the mushy middle-of-the-road types who were initially going to go with him. And more people are just suddenly seeing Obama for what he is, as opposed to the carefully calculated ‘infallable messianic myth’ the media had constructed of him.
Romney has definately improved, in a well-oiled machine sort of way. He’s avoided the kind of dumb statements he was occasionally making during the primaries last year that made him seem so aloof. But I still credit Obama’s faltering more than anything for Romney’s rise.
Romney raised the curtain and there stood der Führer, nekkid!! .. HA!
First off, it ain’t over yet. Ohio in the latest poll has Romney up by 1-2 points only, and a lot of other recent polls that show him down. Hopeful, yes, but we mustn’t write it off as a done deal.
However, I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. I think people are giving the debate too much credit. Part of that, as someone else noted, was that the damn media has never put obama on the spot in four years. So for the American people to see his ideas as what they are (empty rhetoric and campaign platitudes) I think was eye opening. I think that we might need to look at the impact of Dinesh D’Sousa’s 2016 as well. Those weren’t all Republicans watching. A lot of independents saw it out of natural curiosity and it confirmed the doubts many of them already had. And then there was Benghazi, of course, which has been amateur hour from day 1.
The democrats have squandered their air tight policy making ability they had in 2009 in a sensational way. Pelosi and Reid, far from helping Axelrod and Jarrit (however you spell the commie’s name) see the err of their ways, have been adding gasoline to the fire. Obamacare (minus Nebraska), cap and trade (horrendously stupid bill that gave billions in new taxes to 501c3 liberals), no federal budget for 3 years, unending budget increases into the forseeable future (see the youtube videos of Sen Sessions grilling OMB), harry reid and his ridiculous claims about Romney’s taxes, Pelosi’s absolutely brain dead hypocrisy (”we have to pass it in order to find out what’s in it”), the president just released his blueprint for 2012 agenda last week (which was an absolute joke)...I could go on.
Anyone who votes for obama (technically axelrod/jarritt) is a stupid fool.
The MSM is about to turn on obastard. Hard. They’ll use Bengazi as the club. Why? So they can say Romney has no mandaye to turn back the tide of socialism. And to try to salvage SOME credibility...
