A bus driver told a 12 year-old student that he should have been aborted because his family had a Romney-Ryan sign in their yard.
The child attends a Catholic school in New Berlin. He rides a Durham school bus. The company also provides service to the New Berlin public school district.
Apparently, the Romney-Ryan yard sign bugs the bus driver and shes been harassing the boy, making rude comments to him related to politics.
When the driver engaged the 12-year-old boy in a political conservation, he responded by saying that Obama is pro-abortion.
The bus driver allegedly said to the child, Maybe your mom should have chosen abortion for you.
Understandably, this really upset the boy. Other kids on the bus verified the boys account and are providing written statements.
The mom made her sons school aware of the situation. She also went to Durham School Service in New Berlin and spoke to Michael Bennett, the manager.

Romney has been too, for the last forty years. But this driver deserved to be fired and evidently that happened.
Wow, They killed him? Normally, your employment would be terminated but apparently, this bus company doesn't fool around when it comes to customer satisfaction.
At least as described, I didn't see any indication that the kid was "mouthing off" to the driver. According the the story, she initiated the harassment, and the child's response was that Obama was pro-abortion.
Was there more than that? Probably. But again, the driver was supposed to be the adult in this encounter.
I’ll add one other point, if I had gone to my parents complaining that the bus driver said something mean to me, I know exactly what their response would have been....”What did you say to her first?”
Let’s add this guy to the current rolls of the unemployed.
Yup, I would have asked the same question, and I would have been asked the same question.
But, there's NOTHING that would rationalize what the driver said to that child.
Since you brought up the bus driver that was harassed earlier, I'll point out that she didn't lash back at the children, and when people were calling for the kids to be suspended or expelled, she asked for forgiveness.
Then, SHE was the adult.
I love a story with a happy ending.
You're so sentimental, Laz. :)
Sounds like that's what happened here, doesn't it? Kid: "Hey Ma, the bus driver told me you should've chosen to abort me." Mom: "Oh Yeah? Why'd she say that?" Kid: "Because I told her Obama was in favor of abortion."
I don't disagree with you and having coached CYO basketball for many years, I've seen some mouthy, even out of control kids and their apologist parents. But I will maintain that any 12 year old kid willing to discuss political issues (especiallyl abortion) is not a troublemaker - he may well be a pain in the ass, but that's an entirely different thing.
It was so happy, I’m in tears.
78 year old embittered, childless-feminist-spinster loves abortion. Who would have thunk it?
A 78 year old bus driver? If the story is accurate, that is her age. I wouldn’t let my kid on a bus driven by a 78 year old. Call it age discrimination, but no one that age should be driving a school bus.
Maybe in your part of the country, but not in mine.
Feel free to put your theory to the test. As for my wife and myself we will continue to conduct ourselves as civilized human beings
But the question is ... would you hit it? Since the driver is a she and now has spare time on her hands ...
( ducking )
You are so screwed during the Zombie Apocalypse.
Interesting point. Someone should ask her. We should not assume that she has had to put up with any “crap” and did this out of some sense of getting back at this kid (not to suggest you are making that assumption). However, IF there are kids who gave this driver “crap,” the bus driver should have taken care of it long before now.
Yup. They threw her under the bus.
So far civilization has not broken down (completely), If it should I do have plenty of weapons and ammo, IF it should break down.
