Have R&R ramped up their attack?
I will not worry for lack of Romney Ads prior to mid-October. Obama Ads have a special reason....why is he running Ads in safe blue states?
Bingo! He needs more donations from the base. Do this test..ask your friend what does she/he remember about the last 3 Obama Ads. If they can’t recall the content, the Ads were premature.
I’m in Virginia (the central part of the state). At the moment I’m not seeing any ads at all.
I thought there was supposed to be a carpet-bombing right after the DNC convention, but it never appeared. Don’t know what to think.
Nothing up here either. Before the conventions just about every other ad on TV was a Romney ad. Now they’re seen sparingly if at all.
Obama’s been hitting the television hard with ads against Romney.
There’s also one ad in particular that Obama’s running claiming that more than 4 million jobs have been created and claiming that the economy’s much better now than it was under Bush. From what I’ve been hearing this Obama ad is getting him a positive response.
I have yet to see a response from the Romney team about this ad.
Has anybody else seen it?
Early voters are NOT available in the category of “undecided”. They all knew long time ago who they were going to vote for. Ads would have ZERO effect on them.
There are only less than 10% of voters still undecided. That is the only group available for pickings. These people are basically non-political people, which is why they are still undecided. I doubt if virulent attack Ads against Obama will bring them over to our side. And secondly, 7 weeks later on voting day, they won’t remember the Ad content.
The only carpet bombing I’ve been seeing is that from the Obama team.
3. he is working his GOTV so RR can’t win the popular vote and get CA’s electoral votes.
If RR wins the pop but loses the electoral the swing of CA electors could tip it to RR..
And I am sure he is shaking down his supporters for money.
Many early voters do not go and vote based on who they are voting for or if they are undecided. They are early voters because they are limited by time because of work or what have you. Or they simply do not want to wait in line.
Most do not wait until they have made a decision before they drive over to vote. They will make their decision on the other side of the curtain.
Early voting has already begun in many places. It is election day from now until November 6th.
That claim from democrats about 4 million jobs makes me furious due to non-response from Repubs. If 4 million new jobs have been created, then THERE MUST BE 5 MILLION NEW LAYOFFS because that many less people have jobs now during Obama presidency. But I never hear that simple response...sigh.
It appears that the Obama team consists of the entire Democrat party from Harry Reid to Nancy Pelosi, former Pres. Bill Clinton...etc. The Romney Team - Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney himself. I have not seen any elected officials (including those who have stood behind Romney from the beginning or those who have more recently endorsed him) running around the country or taking political stabs at Obama as their side or trying to sell Romney to the nation.
Santorum endorsed him publically after the convention, he's nowhere to be found.
The loudest one I hear from the most is Newt Gingrich who I do not really consider to be a Romney surrogate.
The Obama team is MUCH biggter than Romney Team.
So far all I see for Romney Team is: Romney and Ryan.
Both Bill Kristol and Charles Krauthammer were complaining on Fox last night that in northern Virginia they’re seeing many ads by Obama claiming that Romney was going to raise middle-class taxes by $2k with no answers from the Romney campaign - “now all my neighbors think their taxes will be going up” - bad news if true - any observations?....
Also heard a Gary Johnson spot on the Larry Elder show.
Like the ad they were running not long about which ended ‘..it’s okay to make a change” - not “...me need change now” or even “...it’s time for a change” - devastating......
That’s interesting.
In Santa Barbara, Romney and the other Republican candidates are sharing an office space, there appears to never be anyone in the store front, but a few people sitting at desks.
You are correct. I have seen only Newt & Sununu on FOX TV helping RR. The speaker of house and other elected politicians are MIA.
1. Obama is polling poorly there.
2. Its a technique of rallying his most devout supporters to send him more money.
I cannot believe its the former.
I can't believe it's the latter either. CA has a 10.6% unemployment rate. City after city is going bankrupt. BO has lobbed ad after ad at his followers urging them to donate wedding gifts and forego dinner so they can support his campaign. Next thing you know he'll be going after the lint in their pockets. So where's he going to get this money?
Yes. I'm not sure about where else Sinunu goes other than Fox but Newt's not shy to go on the pro-Obama networks which is a good thing.
I'm not one of those that consider Fox to be pro-Republican. Center always appears pro-republican when you compare it to CNN, cBS and MSNBC but I do realize that being on Fox is a bit more like singing to the choir.
The other good thing about Newt and Sinnunu is that they are prepared for the media's bias and are armed for it.
Sometimes I fear that Romney thinks an interview on ABC, The View or NBC will be fair. That's where he's dead wrong and should be more prepared for their bias questions.
The first debate isn’t until October 3...
Don’t panic, quite yet, the carpet-bombing will start immediately after.
And don’t forget modern micro-targeting technology. If you aren’t in a swing state, or in a key demo, you likely aren’t going to see much.
If you are, better bring an umbrella.

From those democrats and independents who believe the Obama ads that claim the "republican controlled Congress" (what they really mean is The House) is the reason for the bad economy.
Why would they believe anything different. Have you seen John Boehner coming out and begging to differ?
None in Dallas.
I’m in California , I noticed the zero ads too. Is he sweating California? I thought it was in the bag. Are they sweating lack of turnout by their base?
Wouldn’t it be a hoot if Romney campaigned here and then won the 55 Electoral College votes?
